My toons are now at the point where skill updates for the "next big thing" (Battlecruiser, Barge, Whatever) are going take weeks to train.

I'm running level 2 missions for rep and salvage, with a VERY limited PI and mining operation. in Hi Sec.

Last time I tried Eve this is where it fell apart for me.

Is there anything I should/can do to make this skill hump more enjoyable?

Take the decision what direction you want to go with your char. Then max that out. For example, i run 2 mission chars when our 0.0 alliance is wardecced to pay for my game time. They have marauders 5, max gunnery maxed out on social skills for ISK/LP and max tanking. They do the jobb so much faster then a toon that is not so decced out.

What im trying to say is its imposible to catch up to a char that has been active from 2003 but you can be just as good in specific things in notime at all. Sooner or later you need to start focus on something. So if you like missioning, train up for that and then try something ells. If you like the industry part then focus on that for a few months.

Ps my English only gets wors and wors for every new language i learn.. lol

One of the nice things about EVE is that you don't have to play it in order to progress. I'd suggest hitting a different game for a week or two and only check in on your characters every now and then - I've been playing World of Tanks recently.

The other thing you can try, and at least it's actually playing EVE, is to start up some buddy accounts and give yourself 51 days of doing something different for free - try ganking miners, multiboxing the Sisters of EVE epic arc, or running scams that require multiple chars.

Long skill training periods happen fairly often in EVE so work out a plan or system to get over them.
