Hi all :)

Long time lurker first time poster.

I started dual-boxing about 5 months ago. Moved to 3 accounts 2 months ago. No issues at all.

I signed up for a 4th account 5 days ago. used the recruit a friend to get a free month. It all seemed to work.
Following day I got the following email from Blizz:

Greetings,

This notice is being sent to inform you that we are unable to successfully process the recently requested electronic upgrade for World of Warcraft account <name removed>. As such, this account will remain at the current account level and no charges have been processed for this upgrade. In addition, in order to protect the security of both this World of Warcraft account and your payment method we have disabled access to this account to prevent potential abuse. Please contact the Blizzard Billing and Account Services department via telephone at (800)-59-BLIZZ (1-800-592-5499). Please note that due to security concerns we will be unable to assist you via email.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience in this matter.

I found this odd because the credit card payment went through and I could still access the account. Until today.
Now the account is suspended. I sent Blizz a please explain but the only thing I can think of is the address on my new account may be different to my old accounts. Not sure though.

My question to you guys is do you think I'll have any dramas getting my account back?

Thanks heaps in advance for your help...

i think if u call them like they suggested, you shoudl be able to work it out drama-free. probably just a random small problem in the whole process. keep in mind ur account wasn't banned, they are just keeping it isolated so no damage can be done to it from "outside sources" that aren't you.

once u call the number they provided, i'm sure it'll all be good :D

If you are the original owner for all of the accounts, you won't have any problems. You'll just need access to a fax machine.

This doesn't look like a "account ban", hun. I think your subject is a bit misleading. It's probably a billing issue of some sort -- even if your credit card "went through" initially, the actual amount doesn't get deducted from your card immediately so something could have happened during the processing time. Alternately, it could be some sort of anti-goldspammer precaution that blizzard is doing. Who knows.

In any case, if you had any account action (including a ban, suspension, warning) it would clearly say that it was an account action and what the account action was for. This one just sounds like an "oops, we couldn't process your request. Please call us to try again".

Best of luck getting it sorted out!

There is usually an address verification after the credit card check, they can rollback the transaction if the billing address and your address at the bank don't match
