Hello,

I'm new here - and thought to share something.

I did dualboxing from 1 to 70 with priest + warrior, Priest running after warrior and occasionally casting Shadow Word.
Very basic setup, nothing fancy, almost everything relied on assisting warrior. No extra hardware was bought.

Thing on this was that I was running Windows XP with Warrior and Linux on priest - and didnt have a clue about Synergy or Multibox back then so i wrote a piece of software that utilises Logitech G15 keyboard's extra buttons for controlling priest. Linux comp is also my fileserver/mythTV box/print server etc. Very different from Multibox/Synergy.
Advantage was that i could play warrior and/or priest as solo with normal keybindings without any hassle, but when both were logged on - extra buttons made priest help warrior.

And then i found this site, and Multibox, and now i'm planning the next step.

I'm going for 5 box setup with some finesse, build will be Druid + Paladin + 3x Mage. I plan to play Druid as a tank, paladin as healer and mages as dps. This will not be pure multiboxing, as i plan to play druid+paladin combo as i've used to (with G15 extra buttons) but add mages as extra DPS (simpliness of mage dps is a blizz).
Druid tank cause of multitarget tanking and buffs, and paladin instead of priest because i have epixx lvl 70 priest already and can safely switch.

Setup:
Multibox Server : Druid
Linux w/G15 : Paladin
Multibox Client #1 : Mage
Multibox Client #2 : Mage
Multibox Client #3 : Mage

I'm looking for reliable PXE boot solution for Windows XP since i want 3 mage comps to be diskless.

Any thoughts?

Are you going to pvp? At all?

If you are, take a shaman instead of the paladin as your healer. That way, you can respec the shaman to elemental and the druid to moonkin at 70, along with the 3 mages for nuke-based pvp. Or take a priest as a healer so then you could multibox 2 priests and 3 mages at 70 for pvp.

In fact, the more I think about it, you should use a shaman instead of the paladin. At level 70 you would have totem of wrath, wrath of air, bloodlust, and moonkin aura for the ultimate nuking group of death. You could even sub in your priest (as shadow) for one of the mages for mana, potentially.

You could have Starfire+Fireball+Lightning Bolt as your long cast, Wrath+Chain Lightning+Scorch as your 1.5sec cast, and Moonfire+Flameshock+Fireblast as your instant. You could also bind blizzard and hurricane together, and maybe fire nova totem and blastwave together. Tranquility, chain heal, and healing stream give you some healing.

Maybe some PvP, and Shaman is a good viable choice.
I already have lvl 62 shaman on same account as Paladin - so i can switch to that as well.

Thanks for input.
