Hi there,
Im new to multiboxing and im considering to buy Keyclone if this is doable: moving in sync without using /follow in WoW. If the possibilities are the same as in AHK I might aswell just use that instead as programming isn't a obstacle. But I find the whole /follow movement a obstacle I really want to get around if I'm gonna go deeper into to dual-boxing.
Thanks

there is no way to move consistently without using /follow. this is due to the mechanics of WoW, not keyclone.
no matter how much you try to sync up the headings of your characters, you will never get it exactly right. as such, their paths start to diverge quickly.
as for AHK.. if you think /follow is a pain, go check out the scripts you need to manage to get AHK up and running.
good luck and have a good weekend

Keyclone is well worth the money. And if you ever have a problem, best support I've ever seen, really!
Good luck with whatever you decide!

Yeah, unfortunately synced character movements like you're describe aren't really possible beyond small amounts (which either program does fine). It's too bad, because a 5 rogue team would be a blast. :)
BTW, I definitely recommend keyclone, it's worth the money.

Keyclone rocks... period.
I couldnt imagine multi-boxing w/o it.... easy to setup... easy to manage... even the more "advanced" features are a breeze to use. I just started using the maximizer part of it and I love it.  :!:

What about mouse movement in Keyclone...is it easier/possible to do than with AHK ? Haven't figured out yet how to do a working quest return and quest item looting script with AHK, if it's easier to do with Keyclone I'll register it :)

Although not impossible I think these two things just might fall under the things that we should not do with AHK.
(Other's are welcome to correct me if I'm wrong but) I think that loot automation is impossible to achieve within wow with macros and the Addon API. So I quite sure automation of looting is something that we multiboxers should not involve outselves in as it might fall under the blizzards view of Botting.
Think like this: If there is a feature that you can think of but does not exist in KeyClone (or similar): Is it because noone has though about it before? Or is it because the author of KeyClone has though about it but decided that this feature would be automation, and thats why he chose not to implement it.

(Sorry for kinda highjacking the thread)
destro3979: I'm basically in the same position as you some weeks before i think. Describe to me what was easier with KeyClone. What functions made you just feel good to get from KeyClone? I need another little push or two until I go for buying it myself :)

The new PiP rocks. It gives you teh ability (along with maximizer) to swap your "alt" screens into your "main screen" position... looks to be very handy for looting, quest log work, switching mains when main dies, casting abilities that require the area green dot click... lots of things.
The command line makes launching multiple WoW's very very easy... and can auto-fill your account names for you... then puts the windows at your specified areas on the screen... focus follows mouse is convienent for not having to click on a screen to make it active... the "do not pass" keys are super fast to set up, and easily tweakable... the whole program is just user friendly..... and when it comes down to it... "Keyclone" is obsessed with these forums and his responce time is insane when anyone has a question. The best service i have EVER seen in any situation.
Do you realy need more reasons ? ... if you are considering it you wont be dissapointed. period plain and simple.

That sounds incredibly cool. So if I understand PiP right: Does it work across computers? So I can sit at the keyboard and mouse at one computer and play the main and then use "PiP" to switch so i use the same keyboard and mouse but I'm operating another WoW on another computer and another screen that i have beside me?
So I basically can cut out the extra keyboards and mice altogether (that i use today on the other computer to make all micro-management of my alts) and operate everything from the main computer. If thats the case its awesome!

no.. PiP is only for the characters on the same machine. doing anything between machines would be getting into video and remote application stuff... and that's not on the list

Ye. I get that. Not to mention the technical difficulties of transferring a realtime game window, which is (afaik) impossible with decent frame rates even on gigabit-lan not to mention how hard the computer would have to work just to pump that amount of data.
But that was not what I ment. I ment that if you (as most multiboxers do i imagine) sit at a table with 2 or more computer one could transfer main control to another char on another computer. (turning your head to the right monitor, but maintaining mouse and keyboard control)
Ok, I'll illustrate with an example:
You wander happily in the woods when from nowhere a evil werewolf attacks you. You target him and see "Son of Argual 24 (elite)". So you switch your main into bearform and start fighting bravely. The only problem is that you are not more than lvl 17 yourself so you main goes down, but its so close. Son of argual is down to 20% hp! So now comes the switch:
You press (example) Ctrl+Shift+F2 and >Turn Your Own 'IRL Head' towards the other screen connected to computer #2<. Now you got keyboard and mouse-control over this computer (and wow session) instead. So you refocus you living companions (3 players left) by F2 and turn into bearform and continue the fight.
That was how I though it worked when i asked, last evening. Not that you took over the screen like RDP while in gamemode (which as mentioned doesn't seem as a realistic option)

nope, doesn't do that. what you are looking for is a hotkey'd synergy jump where the mouse actually works.
