Hi everyone!

I must say I got very intrigued when the first videos of multiboxing came about and now I decided to try it for my own.

At the moment I'm still getting the hardware, so while waiting I wanted to try and decide which classes to pick. I read through all the pages in this forums regarding PVE selections and must admit every single choice looks absolutely enticing!

Here's my catch:
I have 5 level 70s atm, levelled individually, of which I intend to split them into 5 different accounts.
Warrior / Shaman / Warlock / Druid / Mage

What should I pick to box for my 'new' 5 toons, and more importantly, which toon should I put in which account?
I'm was thinking of a Paladin / Shaman X4 combo, (putting the Paladin tank with my original shaman), so I can 5Xshaman the BGs
However, I started thinking ahead and wondering if I should try to make as diverse a class group as possible to augment/mix-and-match my original 5 so as to rotate and do almost any instance.

For example...
Paladin / Mage / Mage / Priest / Priest

This enables me to have a holypriest to sub the resto druid, or shadowpriest to fit in, or double mage (or triple mage!) to make CC / AOE even more reliable. Warrior tank when I need vs Paladin tank. More priests for more shackles if I need. I could pick triple mage to BG with one day and swap to Shaman / Druid / Priest the next. The possibilities are endless!

This is no longer a question of 'what 5 classes make the best PVE combo' and becomes, which way can i diversify and which char should I level on which account to be able to mix and match most efficiently.

I was actually considering a Paladin / Priest / Shaman / Shaman / Priest combo so I can have 3 shamans for the pew pew with my Pala tanking. (slight variation of the Paladin and 4 shammies) versus 4 Warlocks + 1 Spriest.

What do you guys think :)?

Take your time I won't start until I finally decide. This will probably be a long thread of debate :)

Thanks!
Ack

To open up the discussion abit more

I can respec the original 5 to any spec
Are holy priests the 'best' healers for a boxer
How is it non-healing 5-boxers can clear heroics :P (seen the videos - impressive!)

I would go with pally x1 shaman x4 and have the pally be on the same account as the 70 Shaman. That combo works great for arena and pve. And believe me, in PVP you dont want to have to manage multiple class abilities if you dont have to.

thanks for the quick reply - point noted

What about pally + 4 spriests , 4 druids ?
I was also contemplating 5 druids with a Moonkin tanking and the other 4 in casterform. 4 Lifebloom/Rejuv/Regrowth Pew Pew (Since I'm pretty sure their crit aura doesn't stack - no need to have more than 1 Panzerkin)

Well. That probably wouldnt be a good idea. You would have no CC for PVE with either Priest or Druid (unless you count roots/shackles and at 70, cyclone). This is a problem because you also have no AOE tanking like a Paladin can. PVP-wise, this wouldnt work in arena. You dont have enough burst damage with either priests or druids to win.

I understand that ;)

Guess a paladin / 4 priest or paladin / 4 druids is more feasible in terms of tank + spakn

But I'm still keeping my options open for multiple classes. Esp. if it synergises (with themselves or the original 5!)

thanks
