So the patch is out and I am wondering has anyone with a ret pally team tried out the new changes?

Im still thinking about this team and was wondering about it and any tips you can give on them.

Word of Glory has a cooldown, for non-Holy Paladins.
So that will hurt the team somewhat, although since I don't play the composition I cannot say to what extent.

Not sure on other changes to the class/spec.

my paladins were sat at 80 from Wrath i was just about to get them off the shelf (after being more than a little disappointed with ele pvp at 85) and level them up heres the reasons why im now leveling my dks.

First of all if you were used to the ret rotation pre holy power change like i was then this is going to be a big shock, ret dps is pretty dependant of this, back before holy power ret rotation was just first come first serve which is great for face rolling max dps. Now however its all about procs which isn't really the most ideal for my style of boxing.

After playing with my main DK for all of cata i had grown some what used to their superior self healing, it reminded me somewhat of how imba unholy dk were back when wrath first came out.

When i got onto a single paladin just to get more of the 'feel' for the class before levelling them as a group i discovered that the self healing wasn't as good as i had hoped and as i had planned to run this group as 4 rets and a dk, i knew that a healer was going to be needed. Then the with the news that word of glory was getting the insane cool down i decided death knights were the way to go. Its a class mechanic i know inside out and after seeing results on here im pretty confidant this is the top melee comp.

So my rets sit once again on the shelf this time as level 81s right next to my ele shaman, i tell them every day its nothing personal ill play with you again when you get some pvp love until then the focus is on a priest and 3 dks.

Would love to be proven completely wrong about rets though so if theres something about them and you really wanna try it i recon you should go for it.

Sorry, Ragewolf - I know i said i was going to reactivate that day and give a update on how i felt about them. Motherboard i received was DOA, So i had to wait a little while longer to finish a build and get back into playing my Paladins.

To be completely honest; If i rolled anything other then my group of Paladins, Mainly 4, Working on the 5th to 85 soon. I would be playing probably 2x as much as i do now. But considering i am relatively limited with my 4x 85 Paladin group, compared to what i COULD do with another group.

I feel Paladins are still at a playable rate, Multi boxing 4 of them just raises that bar up a little more, Just making everything a little less annoying and "boring" i guess you could say.

What i personally LOVE about my 4 Paladins is that i have.

Sanctified Wrath Talent(Ret spec) - Increases the critical strike chance of Hammer of Wrath by 60%, Reduces the cooldown of Avenging Wrath by 60 seconds, and allows the use of Hammer of Wrath at all times during Avenging WrathLong story short, 4x Hammer of Wrath at once, 2 times, If they live, a 3rd time because guaranteed they'll be below 20% health due to you

Holy Radiance x4 - Good overall heals for a good 15% when its just me and another person or two around.
Rebuke x4 - Round robin this and you're golden.
Hammer of Justice - Also, Round Robin this, good stuff to keep someone stunned.
Repentance - I like this if someone is running by and i need to stop them from getting past me, into a building, etc, Then start using my Hammer of Justice x4(Round Robin).

I haven't majorly went into running instances, No heroics whatsoever, But i've managed quite a few Cataclysm dungeons, The "highest" one i've finished is Lost City of Tol'Vir on regular, And some of Grim Batol( First two bosses ).

If you need help setting anything up with your paladins, Let me know and i can post / PM what i have personally done with mine.
