View Full Version : [WoW] Grid Custom Layouts Broken?

I am trying to setup custom layouts for my new shamans and it opens a window that spans beyond my monitor borders. The only way to get rid of it is to log out. Anyone else have problems trying to setup custom layouts since patch?

it breaks every patch.

do a search on here for one a while back where its fixed by editing one of the text files.

That didn't work for me at all. I'm trying to get just my 5 characters to display horizontally in the order that I list them. No amount of playing with the options listed in the .lua file fixed it.

I've not updated Grid or GridCustomLayouts.
But checking, load out of date addons, has my displays working the same as pre-patch.

That does work... Kind of. If you have a new team you can't edit your CustomLayout and make it display.

Could you edit the Custom Layout, via the addon folder.
Rather than doing it in game?

I have thirty seven names on line one.
But they're all across my accounts.
So will never have more than five on at the same time.

And then the entire grid is set for a maximum of forty players.
Which could actually have some not displayed, if I were to run a 40-man BG.
But only do it with say two or four toons (who are in column one).
With the rest of the raid 36 or 38 toons, in the remaining seven columns which can accommodate a maximum of 35 additional names beyond my toons in column one.

I did try that Ualaa, but I was unable to get it to display the characters after playing with it for hours.

That sucks.

Just have to use Vuhdo/Healbot for now.
And await an update to Grid.
Or play existing toons.

Could you use something like Shadowed Unit Frames, Pitbull, etc...
In the meantime?

Checking wowace, wowinterface, and curse.

None of the addons made by Warbaby have been updated.
That last activity was two months ago.

Not sure if there is a fan fix.
Or if that would be relatively easy to do?

Not saying the author is gone or the project abandoned.
But, no updates to any of the dozen or so addons yet.
