I'll be editing this initial post from now on for ease of finding the new videos :)

Team Doublemint was started as an experiment in 3boxing. As I leveled my girlfriend (the troll chick you see in many videos) quickly became a part of the team. She traditionally doesn't enjoy leveling past about 20th, however as she has been playing the level grind with a consistent group that doesn't suck she's had a grand time reaching 42nd level as part of the team! The 5th slot in the group is often farmed out to another paladin who is near our level, Seloril. Current plans are to reach 70th and start a 5v5 and 3v3 team.

Anyhow, we only level once a week for about 2-6 hours, it's always rested exp and it's always fun and fast.

2.3 hit, and we hit 60th in a week... granted, I 4boxed most of it. Odd thing about having 5 days off, you get bored ;). I'll be putting together a video once we are all 61 and go into Hellfire Ramparts.

-- Update 12/24/2007 - Got Vegas Platinum for Christmas and have played with it a lot in the last couple of days, I think I'm getting the hang of it :). I'd love some feedback on the bottom two formats uploaded to stage 6.

The pally just got rightous fury last night and I hadn't played with it yet... it appears as though my agro holding issues are over! I can finally keep shit beating on me while the mages pummel it.

I think once the trio hits 17 I'll make a video of a full Ragefire Chasm run, I'm tearing shit up but still too much downtime from healing/mana regen between fights... that should change at 17 and I should be able to AE grind til RFC goes gray.

It is getting to be noticably less as I polish my tactics. I'm still having trouble with the whole frost nova, move to the edge of agro move... since the mages are both on /follow that makes it a tad harder.

Getting consecration at 20 on your pali might help some as well, as he can take the initial aggro from all mobs, and last longer due to wearing mail and a shield

Zomg I thought this would work well but I didn't realize HOW great it was!

Team Doublemint is now 20th and running full arcane on the mages and holy on the paladin... I did 17th-20th at Peril's in Silverpine (Nifty little cave full of undead) and had trouble keeping the mages alive through 19th... I could do 5-8 mobs at a time.

Got 20th on the pally and trained, both mages were still 19 and immediately had trouble keeping the pally alive because I was getting smacked around so much more. A minor change in tactic squared it away and I was able to adapt quickly.

I'll have to throw a new video together soon!

In other news, I was accused of botting twice and asked about multiboxing once...

27th in this clip, doing the dwarf fortress in the southern barrens. Some ranged guys but very easy to grind AE on. Fast repops.

What video codec did you use? It is quite crisp and clean.

What is that graph mod in the last video?

The graph is Recount (And Ace Mod) and shows the DPS of each of the mages. Can be very useful for seeing when ones about to snap agro, but mostly it's just eye candy.

DivX - I encoded this video using Sony Vegas but my trials about to end and I'm not sure I like it enough to buy it... I mostly use Adobe Premiere Pro but it doesn't like DivX at all... so I've been looking for something thats more suited to what I want...

Saddly, what I really want is to be able to publish videos @ 1280x1024 that are edited with titles and encoded in DivX... and I haven't found anything that will do that. I do realize that the videos will be huge, but for instructional purposes for my guild it's worth it.

Work around for Adobe Premiere: Export as an image sequence (or a really high bit rate mpeg-1 if that won't work for you), load it up in VirtualDub, encode in your preferred flavor of MPEG-4 (in your case DivX).

About YouTube: YouTube recommends that people upload videos in 320x240 MPEG-4 AVI (DivX, XviD). Using a higher bitrate such as 1000 kbps and one of these formats for uploading will make your videos look the best on YouTube.

About huge videos: I don't recommend you make videos bigger than 1024x768. Things are almost always legible at this resolution.

150 odd days... lightweight ;).

My warrior is at 175 days... 38 of those @ 70th.
My priest is at 76 days... 5 days played @ 70th.
My rogue is at 144 days... an absurd amount of those @ 60th.

The rogue and priest have twoboxed a lot, but still.

the basics... I do everything based off my party1target... I simply accept that I'm dead if the paladin dies.

Sheep is a bit more complicated, but its' a variant of the common set focus/clearfocus/castsheep macro thats out there, I'm not overly happy with how it's setup and I'm waiting on Keyclone to support RoundRobin for keymaps before I worry about it (Besides, 99% of the time I'm AE Nuking so it doesn't matter.)

I hit the hotkey and mouse over to the 2nd and 3rd clients and target them by hand with double clicks. After some practice and getting to know your mouse acceleration it's quite easy.

Just as a note, I'd like to say that it's muuuuuch easier to grind the humie farms in Arathi rather than the raptors. They have a bigger chance of dropping BoE blues and greens aswell, thus making them ideal to farm if you're planning on being an enchanter and/or are short on cash.

Too bad they removed the easier murloc spawn in DWM, that was usually the AoE grindspot after Arathi.

The paladin is the one I drive, that way I can control the mobs, agro and affectively heal/melee as necessary. So form the group with the paladin, the group leader is always party1.
