I'm in need of some multi-boxing advice.
I've just purchased a new comp (i7-950 cpu). And I've decided that "Rift" is my game to play. (I've deleted all my toons from WoW after 4 years of playing).
I've always been interested in Multi-boxing but with a Macintosh it wasn't easy. About the only thing I ever did was to have 2 accounts. Then run two instances of WoW. Have one accounts strong toon dragging around the 2nd accounts low toon on "follow". It was OK, but wasn't very immersive.
What I'd like to do with my 2 accounts, is to run an instance of Rift per account on the same computer, with a toon from each account questing together. As I press a key, then both toons from each account will cast the spell that is assigned to that key per toon (I have one keyboard). I have one monitor (but it's 27"), so I expect to be running both instances in window mode. I do have a spare 19" monitor that I can hook up as well, but I dont think this will be necessary.
Is there a multibox program that works this way? In that it allows 2 instances of the same program running on the same computer. Share's keyboard commands between the 2 accounts and manages the "single mouse".
Thanks ... Jan
