Question: Beginner To Dual-Boxing

Greetings fellows!

I just started dualboxing today and I love it. I made two mages. My question revolves around how I would level more than class. With my mages, I can simply activate Action Button 2 and both will start to cast fireball. Whereas, if I wanted a rogue and a paladin...That's a whole new bag. How is that kind of dual-boxing done?

How is that kind of dual-boxing done?It's just as complex or as simple as you want to make it Jado. You seem to have a grasp on the available functions, so just expand on it.

You only have so many keys on your keyboard. With each one you have an option to make it do something on just one of your toons, the same thing on both, or two different things on both. So in your example of a rogue/pally, you'd likely lay things out to optimize your rogue's abilities, and either leave a few buttons dedicated to the Pally's heals, or tie them in with rogue abilities you tend to use as often as you need heals. (ie, attach a Pally head to each of your combo finishers.)

Use your imagination from there on out. That's half of the fun in this hobby. :)

Crucial's right, there are alot of great threads about toon control here on the forums. Just spend some time browsing, and you'll find answers to questions you didn't know you had yet. :)

Thanks for the quick responses! I guess what I was looking for with my original question was something to the tune of:

"How do other people who run dual-classes play their characters?"

But your answer, Totem, basically confirmed it for me. If anyone else would like to add by posting about how they dual-box (Pally tanks, Priest heals; Rogue DPS, Hunter auto-attack; etc)... I'm sure both myself and other beginners would love to read it.
