Currently I use a lot of pvp-gear on my dps and also the healer in dungeons. Is this okay or is it a bad idea? Will my team be even better if I equip them all with pve-gear instead when doing dungeon runs?

Currently I've only focused on equipping the tank with other gear, since pvp-plate don't have parry/dodge etc. I just assumed pvp-gear also would be very good dps-gear as well. Or can my damage output be even better with non pvp-gear?

If you are 'ok' with pvp gear then you'll only getter better with pve gear. Lets take a pair of random ele shaman leggings for example.

A typical pvp leg would have 400 resilience and 200 crit, the same ilevel leg in pve would have 200 haste and 200 mastery (besides the obvious int and stamina). Resilience is totally useless in pve, so basically you near double your offensive stats by swapping out pvp gear for pve gear.

There are exceptions though, some classes really favor 1 stat much more than any other stat. So as ele shaman you might be better with a epic pvp bracer than with a 333 pve bracer, just because the former has way more INT on it.

What you should do is read up on your class and check which stats are mandatory. Whenever you get a new item it's pretty straightforward to compare if it's an upgrade or not (take reforging bad stats into comparison as well)

Zenga basically has it covered.

If you already have the PvP gear, continue to use it, but be on the look out for PvE gear that has the stats your class/spec wants.

The resilience doesn't help you at all against mobs, only against players.
So each point is completely wasted item budget.
Although you could likely reforge Resilience to another stat.
Not positive if you can reforge Resilience > Something Else, but if you can that would transfer half of the wasted item budget portion into something useful.

Resilience cannot be reforged.

Resilience cannot be reforged.

No but bad stats can (ie crit for ele shaman).

edit: nvm, need to wake up

I believe the PvP melee DPS weapons are better than the heroics by a long shot, since the actual weapon DPS is the exact same as the epic PvE weapons - which is a much, much better stat than say another 100 crit.

Other than that, it seems like the epic PvP gear is basically in line with heroic PvE gear stat wise. But you do get 2 and 4 set bonus with the set PvP gear which probably edges it over if you have 2/4 pieces.
