I have an 85 prot pally on one of my accts. Im using it to powerlevel all toons under level 70 on the other four accts. I discovered something interesting. It may be old news to people who have leveled many toons already through boosting but it will be useful for people like me who are new to it. I figured if i was only running one toon through a dungeon, they would get more xp per kill. They actually got less. The xp in HFR went from ~1400 with four level 60 slaves to ~1050 with only one slave! This is because your group exp bonus is much lower with only one slave.

When boosting only one toon, bring guild members or random people with you. Make them loot everything and give you the cloth or greens or something. Or charge them for the runs. Whatever the case, you need to bring a full group or youre actually losing free exp.

In the process of boosting all thesse toons up, i decided to even out their xp levels. So when one runs out of rest bonus or dings before the others, i hearth it to the inn and log it out. I try to find another person to fill the slot so i dont lose any group exp bonus. I never loot so i dont care what they take. Netherweave cloth isnt worth looting on my server. I will probably start looting once i begin running slaves through UTK though.

Just shout out in the zone... tell them you are running free runs and you will get 30 DK's tell you instantly lol.

Yes, the combat log (or whatever other tab you may have setup to report experience) reports a group bonus to experience gained.
