I'm using a 37" hdtv as my monitor. My desktop resolution is 1280 by 768 which I am splitting the top half and bottom half between 2 accounts. I don't plan on increasting it to 3 accounts till these 2 lowby mage get to level 60+ to play with my other mage.

Anyhow, what do I need to do to get this easier to read and see? Is it a bad idea to use titan?

Uhhh... not use a 1280 x 768 monitor?

My 30" is 2560 x 1600. Your 37" screen is LOWER resolution than a 17" monitor (which is 1280 x 1024). No wonder it is hard to read!

I don't understand why people feel the need to play games on "HDTV" monitors or why they think they are suitable for video games. They aren't!

You only have 640 x 768 per WoW. On a 37" screen.

You can try fiddling with the fonts but my suggestion is to use a real computer monitor (doesn't have to be 30" but it needs to be higher resolution than that).

Well, my card only supports wide screen up to 1600 X 1200, and 1360 by 768 for widescreen. Is it the card that needs to be replaced or should I find out if the TV will not support anything higher?

I do have 2 19" monitors I can use, but I didn't think they would actually be an improvement over the 37" tv.

Sorry for any stupid questions so far and in the future ;)

No stupid questions. We all had to learn sometime and somehow.

What kind of card is it that it can only support 1600 x 1200 (that's not too uncommon for a 6 or 7 series nVidia) but 1360 x 768? That's odd.
Two 19"s would be FAR better than what you are using. You will need to horizontal span them if you are using XP.

The TV will probably not support anything higher. It is a TV, not a monitor. You don't physically have enough pixels to (in my opinion) make this look "right". You COULD modify your UI, change the fonts, etc to make it less "squished" but in the end I don't think you are going to be happy long term. But it's your game experience, not mine :)

I have written about this before in these threads:

One huge Screen? ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=21194')
Xzin, how do you have two PC's hooked up to a single 30&quot ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&postID=4983')

Geforce 7300GS.

On the 37" hdtv 1600 by 1200 was an available resolution.

1280 by 1024 is the highest it is showing on this monitor. -

Maybe I won't be able to have split screens with my current hardware. I will read your other articles for advice.

Thanks.
