I'm at level 50... and bored.

I am sick of waiting around for people to help level me... because questing is retardedly difficult especially with following leveling guides that 1/2 the quests they want you to do are collection quests.

<sighs> i need 58 so i can get to outland and not be so bored.

I mean it's gotten to the point where all i can do is get rested exp and hope someone helps me when i have a level or more of rested.

I find it easy to keep interest...first step in that was making sure I used a group composition that didn't rely on having to wait for others to "help me" and I do collection quests (as long as the mobs aren't grey/green con) as they are still forms of leveling and even better when rested...yes you'll likely have to kill 3-5 times as many of the mobs as you would have to if solo but with the new window focus in keyclone it's not that much of a hassle to actually loot the mobs with any character and you are getting great xp as you kill.

The other option is to forget questing and just go grind....quit whining about having no-one to help you, take your 3 mages with rested xp to a zone with even con mobs and do what they do best, ae the hell out of the zone for a few hours and watch the hlevels fly by. Though if you're going to do that they you may as well take collections quests at the same time since you want to be looting every kill from about level 40+ for rare/epic drops.

Bottom line really is that to keep interest you have to know why you wanted to multi-box (and iirc people told you that an all mage setup would suck and be hard) and then work out ways to do it by yourself rather than worrying about relying on others because if you are doing that then you are just in a boat that's three times worse then if you were a solo mage. The outside world is designed to be leveled up solo and if you are having trouble doing it while multi-boxing then you may want to look at what's causing that.

all mages doesn't suck... and i dont think 3 boxing shamans would have been any better.

I mean... i already have a 70 lock and i don't think having multiple of them would be much fun as my lock already bores me lol.

I guess mages are only good when they are actually leveled lol

How many Mages do you have? I've AoE grinded to 60 with 2 and to 70 with 3 Twice.
There are a ton of spots, you should be pretty close to being able to AoE grind the first farm in Western Plaguelands, the exp is pretty much insane.

i have no idea how to AOE grind... or where to do so.

Not sure if this is exactly what you mean, but I avoid burn out by raiding with my main a few days a week, 5-boxing a bit and make sure to take at least 2 days off from WoW in general to do other stuff. I will get burned out if I do too much of the same thing.

As far as being bored while leveling up, I was watching TV or movies at the same time, so I didn't think much about the mind numbing collection quests.

Western Plaugelands. Go AOE the Skeleton farms there, (Theres 4 of them) Start at the one just east of Chillwind Camp, to get used to it, then head to Dalson Tears ( I think its that, maybe its Felstone) Basically, Ice Barrier, gather, nova, COE, AE AE AE. OR blizzard, which ever you wanna do, so many ppl AOE in different spell rotations. Course if your Boxxing 2+ Mages, just Run in with IB On and AE them down/Nova.

Techincally, you could easily hit 58 doing this in WPL. It'd be boring, but you would make a crap load of cash selling all the runecloth drops. Good Potion drops to.

all i can say is if your bored at 50 then boxing isnt for you, questing at that level is awsome so many quests to do and with 2.3 patch you get insane amounts of xp,

took me no time at all to get from 50-60, now 60+ and its a long long slog to 70, either 4300+ kills a level (thats what kills to level addon tells me now at 64) or do quests and questing has taken me about 10-16 hours per level, these numbers are for boxing five.

at the moment to keep an intrest in it myself ive made a group of five different classes, paladin priest mage lock and hunter, and i level these when i run out of rested on my main team, this is what i do to keep intrest. Its helping alot because since ive done this ive really learnt how to write macros, and this has helped my shaman team out so so much, takeing what ive learnt from the five classes and rewriteing all the shaman macros.

i also recomend a kills to level addon i only just got it (at level 62) but its helping me out alot, its always a serious burn out when you hand in a quest at 97% complete of a level and you dont ding, so this little addon will give you that moral boost when things look bad.

Hey Simpletom, do you have the name of the kill/levelling addon or a link to where it can be downloaded? Seems quite an interesting piece of information. :-)

You can always go to outland before 58 to see if you can kill something already ;)

I stay away from boredome by getting load of rested, and just not playing every night. Getting 200 xp per kill while in a full group while questing really is very nice.... I just finished a random quest for wich I had to kill ogres, the kills gave me 6k of xp, the quest itself 5300 or so, and this is no exeption.

I also try not to travel too much, so I got Shatt as my home for my crew, so I can use the freeee portals in Shatt ... And I added a mage a few days ago for even more free portals ... Been a weeks since I last seen a boat

And last but not least: I've installed Quest Helper on all my crew members, so I can now follow questing progress from my main, and see who has to do what, makes it hard to FORGET a quest turn in! :D

all in all I just love it and by doing instances and quests together, I keep it worth the trouble and money for myself

Take care and good luck!

I agree. Play a few different toons and only play them on rested exp. You lvl faster and you get to know and play lots of different classes. And worse come to worse if you hate questing ... just grind out a lvl on rested exp while listening to your favorite music.

Stop boxing because you are bored at 50, what a nonsense argument to do such a thing. Myself I have and had several times where I was thinking, why the fuck im I doing this. Just keep on going, keep on playing, take some rested, do some fun stuff, and then go back again. By all means dont let yourself get worried or put down by people that flaunt with getting to 60 in 2 days, who cares ;). Just keep doing what you are doing, it got you to 50 already.

Cant help you with the boredom. Boxxing has made wow more fun for me, but I am really confused by another part of your post:

I am sick of waiting around for people to help level me... because questing is retardedly difficult ....... I actually don't comprehend how someone who boxes mages can say "Quests are hard"........?

I could Kill 8-12 Equal Conned elites in my 50's, & just ground pre 2.3, since 2.3 its even easier.

ST: Pull 2 groups, Instant arcane explodie them down

Same for the beginning of BRD, & LBRS.

Reset, repeat. 60 in no time.

Since 2.3 Quests are even faster. Easysauce.
