View Full Version : How did this site get started?

Maybe I didn't look hard enough (probably get flamed for that), but I couldn't find anything on how this site came about? Alot of time and effort is put into maintaining, updating, etc. the site - and possibly money without any ad support (unless you guys work for vetra - hehe)...I was curious how it came to be.
Probably a good time to thank you guys for your effort/work - I have found this site very useful (dam you for getting me hooked on boxing ) and a fun distraction during the workday.
Just to be clear, I don't work for Vetra, X-keys, etc. Nor have I ever been given any compensation from them for anything. I bought everything myself - computers, monitors, X-keys, etc. It would certainly be nice but this is all just a hobby for me. I self fund my own endeavors.
Ellay started this site and I came along and fleshed out a ton about my methods and started popularizing the forums part of the site. You saw my guide and other early "highly condensed" writings that I hope people have found to be useful. I certainly think my efforts were valuable but I don't and certainly can't take all the credit for the early development of the site. I have never been paid a dime to box or give out my methods for doing so. I do it only in the spirit of sharing and open source really such that others can learn from my methods and also mutually contribute their techniques, ideas, concepts, macros, etc.
That's pretty much how it was started. I don't believe Ellay has any financial interest in Vetra, X-keys, etc. We would certainly love it if they wanted to setup some advertising to help cover the monthly fees but all told, I don't believe anybody (except Blizzard, X-keys and Vetra) makes any substantial money out of this.

I didn't think you or Ellay did (have an interest in vetra, x-keys, etc.) - I was just messing around with that.
Your early write-ups played a big part in helping me get started - thanks!
I know but I did want to set the record straight - just in case people still wondered.
