Ok I planned on getting a second 24inch dell lcd but it has not been on sale for awhile. They have the 22's on sale for $289 each. I have the 24 ultra sharp. I ran into the problem with xp not working with the second monitor. The only way to fix it would be to run stretch view which is not an option for me. It turns my desktop into crap. That leaves me with the choice of upgrading to vista and running either 2 24's or 2 22's turned verticle and use the 24 as my main. I guess running 2 22's verticle would give me 2 wows of 1050x840.
Would I need a second video card in order to run 3 monitors from vista? Also, would you verticle 22's or buy cheaper 24's? I have a 6600 Core 2 duo 4gig Corsair Extreme and ATI x1950xtx video card.
24 wides stretch your viewing angle too wife IMO. Obviously, if you look at my setup on the screenshots forum, I'm a fan of portrait mode wide screens. If you can't do the rotation for performance reasons I'd suggest going with (3) 19" or something instead of (2) 24", think you'll be happier and have less neck strain. Yes to run 3 monitors you will need a second video card. That's a hardware thing, not a OS thing. Unless of course you get the Matrox thing for like $250 that runs 3 monitors but meh, and I hear performance is crap on em.

I guess I will order those Dell 22inch Dual Sharps tonight. Then I will need a second video card and vista. I wonder if I need to get a video card of the same model or can I pop in another card thats cheaper. My desk has a raised up section for my main monitor. I can set the two 22inch on the side and it will look sweet. Damn this new hobby is costing me a ton. I have 3 RC Cars sitting in my garage that cost me a ton when I got into that new hobby years ago. Gas powered Tmax, Electric power Tmax and an electric car that flys. Wonder if they still work.
