My end goal is have a chanter in the group for DE's and farm everything from LBRS-UBRS to herioc instances.
The finalized plan is 1 bear, 1 tree, 3 boom to accomplish this. I have done sooo much reading lately and wanting to make sure that this is percent wise the ideal chioce for this kind of farming. I say ideal wise because everybody has their own flavor.
I will be doing 1 spriest and 4 locks for pvp epicness, so that is not in the equation for pve farming. Although easy to spec into boom on all 5 for that.
Asking before i put to much work in them. They are only lvl lowley 5 right now.

With 5 druids you will be able to farm bosses and have crazy loot.
This exactly what I want to do down the road ;)
the best part about druids:
1) hots stack, 4 rejuvenation, just one GCD, you might not need tree until heroics.
2) can sneak to any places.
3) always have backup for any role, and can relocate power and resources at any time, need OT, here second bear. Need backup healing, here 4X Lifeblooms, need extra DPS, switch tank in to scary kitty.
4) boomkis can tank, can even tank kara :P
the worst part is:
1) buffs and auras not going to stack, so they can't be used like pallys or shamys for multiplied effect.
2) sure can resurrect some one lost while still in battle, but having no OORez hurts
3) no viable CC (IMO)
I didn't do it yet just because of all down sides, but one shamy might be enough to cover most of them, or just prot pally.
I am looking forward to your future reports, Best of Luck XD

Nice groups - both pve (5x druid) and pvp (spriest + 4xlock).
I debated the 5xdruid for a long time before the mixed group idea won out for me, but you should be able to do quite well in pve. 40 and 50 will be exciting dings for you.

Yeah, the lack of CC is the only thing that I am concerned about. But if you guys are saying it can be done, then bring it on!

Good for you!
I tried doing this briefly ('http://www.stage6.com/user/Vyndree/image/523461/') when 2.3 was on the PTR and enjoyed it... They did improve the battlerez cooldown so hopefully things will work out.
I'm contemplating powering up at least one druid to mix and match with my shammies - I've got every hybrid covered but druid (shaman/paladin/priest if you count shadow as hybrid) and I always wanted to try 4 totem of wrath + boomkin aura. Let us know how it goes. :)

I'm playing 3 boomkins with my wifes two shammies (her first multibox experiment - yay!) and it's an absolute blast. I contemplated the Bear, Tree, Moonkin combination but in the end just specced them all to Moonkin and never looked back.
They can all tank well enough, they can all heal well enough, and they can all ranged DPS well enough. The only difference between them is that my designated tank druid (my "main") carries a set of tanking kit with him and the others don't bother.
The synergy in both PvP *and* PvE is awesome, although the progress of my own 5 man druid team on AA has suffered because I just can't put this team down!
Much fun to be had with this setup - enjoy, and I look forward to reading about your progress.

Do the boomkins generate too much threat?

No other class can out-threat me and I have 1 point in Subtlety ;p Even Shadowpriests can't quite keep up if I'm in full dps mode, and I keep my tanks on their toes trying to figure out how to generate more threat cuz they rarely keep up with me ;p If I want to tank, I -do- tank, period, noone can take it away if I don't let them.(Sometimes even when I do let them, I have to die first LOL); so yes, we generate too much threat. :p
I wouldn't change it for the world though, I -like- being able to take control of a loose add and keep it off the squishies or relieve the tank a little so he doesn't get overwhelmed just enough for him to survive, I can take a few hits myself even on raid trash most of the time; just gotta learn your limits and how to abuse them carefully ;p

Do the boomkins generate too much threat?
That is a legit concern - they just seem to piss everything off rather quickly (and probably the reason for the whole panzerkin concept). Spamming wrath and starfire might not be the best strategy. But like most groups, the tank / boxer will have to keep an eye on the threat meter and adjust accordingly.
I was in kara last night with my fire mage and had to back down on my casting (actually stop at times) because I was generating too much threat compared to the druid feral tank and prot warrior.
I am looking forward to mixing my boomkin (42) into my group when they catch up.

I've got my druid team to 5 now, they are a sliver from 55 and I've worked my 70 in as main. He has mostly feral gear in the bank and I had planned on a 1 bear, 1 tree, 3 chicken setup, but now I'm rethinking it. The main is currently spec'd at balance as a rotation in my guild's instances and I like the synergy that he generates with the others.
So I was thinking this: main has tanking gear and chicken form = panzerkin. The others are balance but no chicken form. Instead of a dedicated healer, they throw heals x4. I was even thinking (at my current low level) of lowering the ranks for mana efficiency. Also, for talents, I was rethinking that and considering putting some points in the threat reduction in Resto to ensure threat for the main. It's an all boomkin team with only one chicken (since the aura doesn't stack). As long as the followers don't pull aggro I should be fine.
Right now, they don't, but they're up against a 70 with some instance gear. I'll keep you posted as I start BC.
