Another day I went to 5v5 arena with my 4 shamans and my mate resto druid.
My gear is very weak, 7200 health and 0 resilience, 399 +spd. The druid with 4 a1 and some blues/greens.
We did 10 games, 1 win and 9 loses. Thats unreal fun. When we won one game my hands were shaking for next 2 mins or so, I cant describe the feeling :)
Ridiculous that on 14XX rating we had to fight at least a2 geared people. Like 3 or 4 games were fights against guys with a3 shoulders and weapons, including our last game at 1412 rating.
Damn this Cyclone battlegroup, the most powerful one in Europe :/ thats gonna be tough to break through with such a weak gear. Gotta save points for a4 probably.
Screenie of my one win ^^

haha grtz!
sounds exactly like my first 10 games! dinged 70 on a tuesday and wne to get my arena team, tho i didnt have the luck to get a healer so i brought my girlfriend on her lock :) won 1 of 10 with her standing alone vs 2 druids 1 balance and 1 feral...
tho i can tell for sure it will go better during every week since you prob will get some S1 gear and some random faction stuff =)
btw a tip for you is to bake in your dmg trinkets in your spells to get less buttons to keep a check of
IE
/assist focus
/cast trinket one
/cast trinket two
/cast chain lightning
this will make it so one trinket pops W/O delay when you cast and when the buff is off the 1st trinket the second one will cast the next time you hit the button.
this also works with elemental mastery and nature swiftness... i got them all in same macro to reduce buttons :)
good luck with your arena

thanks crebble ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=User&userID=1923')
I use macro
/cast elemental mastery
/cast nature's swiftness
/use trinket (dont remember the name)
/cast chain lightning
I think for arena I will make macro for 2nd use trinket and bind it on normal chain lightning spell :)

Well good think about this is.. when 2.4 comes out, you can buy PvP items with REP. So when you hit 70 you can at least have something to help you get that honor/arena points.

there wont be arena season 4 items, they are leaving season 3 as the last set untill wotlk and making season 1 and 2 purchasable by tier4/6 tokens respectivley
also ele shamans suck without gear... so do some BGS get some gear and try again.

In 2.4, there will be blue arena gear purchasable with revered rep from the different factions. It's still good to run BGs for those vindicator's pieces, but the blues should be a great way to get some resilience without spending a month getting /afk reported in AV.

Iknow your pain, I only run bgs, with my grp until they have full set of season 1. AV is best to run. managing ques is a little fun, but well worth it. I run 4 locks and shadow priest for pvp grp. also been running 3 mages 1 holy priest(spirt also) and prot war, they are only pve grp for heroics but lvling 4 cothies in tayloring is a pain. Gear from season 1 is great. Only problem you will have is WSG 30 tokens. You will have to run 1 or 2 in that game. holding 5 solts in a ten solt game is not good unless you are 69 in the 60-69 bracket. at 70 Wars, rogues, hunters, just tear you a new one. most of these get the season 1 weapons first and they hurt on cloth, leather, and mail. casters do not have much love until they have over 1k of addational damage and crit at 20-25 percent. :)

Snap :D
I did my 1st 10 arena games last week a few minutes after dinging 70. 0-10 :D
Was fun though, and since it's been AV weekend I've now got 3 gladiator bits, so the HP is up to 8.3k and the resilience up to 131. For the 10 games tonight I'm hoping for at least 3 or 4 wins, I've noticed the difference even that little bit of resilience makes in recent BGs.
Besides, some Arena points are still better than none, and as the ratings go down, the opposition gets weaker, woot!

well I have made this 5v5 team to get some points. 260 or so pts is better then nothing :)
what do you guys think about getting for honor rings and some other jewelry over a1? and use points on armour

Personally, I think Honor Points should go towards buying the Vindicator's stuff FIRST, and then maybe spending some points on Season 1 arena stuff. Even with a bad arena record, you can get the Vengeful gloves and farm a set of Vindicator's (3 armor pieces + amulet/ring) in just 3-4 weeks (weeks are for arena points mostly, Vindicator's you can get faster if you pour more time into it, obviously).
Buying season 1 arena gear just seems like a mistake if you can field your own 5v5 team and go 0-10 and STILL get arena points. If the rating gets too low and you still suck, just re-buy another fresh team...

Heard a rumor on my vent last week someone from Europe grinded out 66,000 Honor in a 24 hour session of Alterac Valley pre-mades during the double honor weekend.

According to MMO-Champion, in 2.4 you'll also be able to buy Veteran's gear with Badges of Justice. Even more reasons to figure out ways to improve your clear times on heroics :)

Seems exagerated. On alli stormstrike we have instant queues, and my orgs last weekend were netting around 500 honor every 15 min + pvp kills.
Bonus honor would be 48k in 24 hours, thats alot of kills to get the other 18k :P

what do you guys think about getting for honor rings and some other jewelry over a1? and use points on armourI just hit 70 last week on my shammies and I went with getting 2 pieces of s1 first for the awesome +35 resil bonus, then got my weapon+shield. I'd also recommend doing some halaa and getting the pvp belt there. That way you can hold off on the vindicator belt and improve your other pieces first.
Right now I think I have s1 chest/shoulders (get the shoulders first), weapon, shield, vind boots, and trinket. My next pieces are going to be the vind neck and both rings before finishing off my s1 set.
Basically try to improve your worst gear first, and get the biggest bang for your buck.
*Edit
Crap Season 4 already >< does that mean it's time to start hoarding arena points?

*whistles*
I did AV all weekend (keep in mind I'm on stormstrike where alliance always loses with ~0 bonus honor) and only made it to 26k...
Got a ring and bracers and have been buying points for some starter arena gear (pacific time zone = great late night queues). It's a LONG, SLOWWWW grind though. The AB token pieces are going to kill me. AB and a 5-person team really screws over my team's mobility.

Would splitting up your group be an option? In other words 2 and 3 box AB or maybe 3 and 3 splitting the healer between the two groups.

If he was able to shave it down to 10 minutes a game it'd totally be doable. I could see a well made team just simply rushing to the boss room have a couple tanks offtank the adds and burn down the boss. I've seen AV's done in 4 minutes. Overall though a rumor is just a rumor... :P

You split up your group, you lose the benefit of focus damage, you have to potentially rebuild your macros and keybindings, and it's almost a new playstyle.
For example, I KNOW when I go up against a warrior I can down them with a FS + nova + FS. With 2 or 3, I will not be able to do that. With 5, I KNOW I will not be able to be feared out of /follow range if my tremor totems are down. With 2, I'm not so sure. With 5, I know I don't have to bother interrupting a spellcaster since there's no way they can chew through my groundings before I 2-shot (well, 2x4-shot) them.
I'd rather lose with the entire group and waste less time figuring all these different scenarios, macros, and totem bindings.

Doesn't even have ROOM for teh number (if he did white them out, which I Don't know why he would)

I was lucky enough to be in a Drek rushing premade for 3 games this AV weekend and made about 1200 honor in 15 minutes (my earth elementals helped tank the first drek + 4 WM and weren't off cooldown by the last game). But I can't see how you could keep that up all day.

66000 honor in 24 hours is doable. I played over the weekend for about 6 hours per day at 8-11 k per day. I did that 4 days so thats 44k in 4 sessions at 6hours each. I did take breaks and gold grind some. If a person was only playing 1 toon you could do 15-20k per day in 6 hours. I have to make sure all 5 toons get into the same av game. Also Friday appreared to be bugged, (more honor that day) toons are now all 69 with most of their pvp set , thank you AV

However back in the day when AV Q's were less than a minute I'd do 30k+ a day on double weekends playing like 12 hours or so.
Bloodlust has like hour long AV Q's so that won't happen this time ;p
