I've decided to start lvling 4 hunters / 1 Priest. on the alliance side. I've been playing Horde for toooooo long. Time for a switch! Only problem is I'm leaving lots of chars & gold behind. I guess I may have to either buy another account and use it for spying purposes or just transfer 1 horde char over and w/ items & loot then delete it :( hate the thought of that. But anyways I;ve heard some talk about hunters and how fun they can be. My originaly dual boxers were 2 Orc Horde lvl 39 twinks. I wanted some opinions on which classes for hunters would be the best pvpers / Pve. Also is there anyone out there that has tried or knows if 4 hunter pets would be able to hold off a BOSS. Any advice or comments is appreciated.

Thanks

PvP:
5x Night Elf Shadowmeld Surprise!
Dwarf: Stoneform can be nice against rogues/warriors.
Humans: Perception and 10% faction bonus

I would go 4x Dwarf (stoneform) for the hunters and 1x human (spirit + perception) for the priest. You can have some nice Snowhite and the 4 dwarves action going there.

PvE:
Draenai: If the +hit stacks it could be a nice boost for your hunters but it is something you can get from gear. The 1K heal would have been OK except for the 1.5s cast and at 70 with decent gear the heal is not all that great.

I would still go with the 4x Dwarf and 1x Human. The 10% spirit for the priest is gold.

Pets tanking bosses:
Yes, your pets can tank bosses. It depends on the boss though. With 4x hunters you can also train different pets with different resists so you have a Shadow Resist pet for Shadow Dmg bosses and a Fire Resist pet for Fire Dmg bosses etc. I think that most of the normal difficulty bosses can be tanked with pets but there are probably exceptions.

CC might become an issue, not sure if any pets have AoE taunts. I also am not sure what happens if you have 4 freezing traps on top of each other, will they all trigger if 1 mob runs into them or will it only trigger one? If the latter then you can just keep your group stacked up but if the former then you will need a lot of micro management to CC. Hunters will need to spread out and each pull a mob to a trap.

I've been thinking about a 5 hunters setup, all NE ... Just for PvP ....

Will have 5 traps for incomming rogue's, 5 pets ofcourse and alot of burst dmg ..

But, I'm not sure if I will roll with this because it might seriously piss people of in a way I don't want, while using more then 1 account. In PvE people see it's cool and they like it but after they got 1 shotted 5 times in a lower level bg ... They'll be crying all over the official forums again.

But the thought is just very nice hehe .... 5 hunters shadowmelted and ofcourse if you like 5 stealthed pets

ps: my point is: get a pve group since you'll be ending up with more friends rather then enemy's ;)

My Hunters are Nightelves, its really funny to let 4 bm pets attack while you're staying in shadowmelt and just look at them doing their work ;)
Dont know anything about the outland instances or the 60's, but all before is more than easy. Maraudon with 47, Sunken Tempel with 49. Druid specct feral actually (for non instance quests you really need no healer). If i would start completly new i would take a shaman to heal. More group dps and ankh+rez > druid.
On the other side druids can stealth, and its a big plus for pvp when your leading char is invisble.
