Well I ve been trying to bind my G15 keys to like Ctrl + numpad 1 and ctrl + numpad 2 or Alt + numpad 0 etc etc... Now my regular numpad keys i have bound for my priest to do his heals... What would happen is when i press my G15 key for ctrl + numpad 2 my mage would do his assigned g key move but the priest will also do his regular numpad 2 spell. I thought that if i added ctrl or alt infront of it, it would be technically a different key? any way to seperate this?

hmm is this the reason everyone unbinds all the F1 keys ? and macro them as CTRL F1 and ALT F3 etc but not ALT F4? LOL

You might be experiencing a feature of Warcraft that will use an ability bound to a key if you press a similar sequence of keys. For example, say that you have 1 bound to your first hot bar slot, but you do not have any other combination of keys plus 1 bound to anything (i.e. ctrl+1, alt+1, shift+1). If you press ctrl+1, Warcraft will use the ability bound to 1.

So, in your case, if you have number pad 2 assigned as priest heal on one box, and ctrl+number pad 2 assigned to fireball on the mage box when you press ctrl+number pad 2 Warcraft will cast a heal on your priest and fireball on the mage.

To avoid this feature, you have to carefully plan out your bindings.

Just bind them to what you want on one toon, but bind them to empty bars on the alt(s)
On mine pretty much all toons have the exact bar layout but alot of it is empty space or just macro icons to identify alts spells from the main's UI

I pretty much did what Shogun did. Get Bongos2 - you can bind any number of keys to an actionbar slot. So, I created a "do nothing" slot ... and bind everything I don't want passed to that slot. In your example, I would go to the priest and bind Ctrl-Num# to the empty slot (so the mage still does their thing but the heals don't get mis-fired).
