Three of the toons in my first 85 team can heal so im going to try running them as a healing trio and see how it goes. I figured i could also run the smaller bgs this way and not just AV. I bought the crafted 85 pvp gear set for all three of them. Im poor again. This trio will consist of:
Holy paladin
Holy priest
Resto druid
I will probably lead with the paladin. I use isboxer, grid, customlayouts, clique.
ISSUES/QUESTIONS
1. I need to make a shockadin rotation macro and i have no clue where to begin. I am not at all versed in paladin healing - tried using one as a team slave healer and switched back to prot. Anyone have shockadin castsequence macros?
2. This team has very little offensive capability. I thought about bringing a lock or mage but when i tried 1 lock, 4 priests the lock ended up standing around doing nothing most of the time. It was kind of the opposite of the pve setup where your healer stands around a lot if your group is set up well. Does anyone see any problems that will come up often due to lack of offense?
3. I know priests better than any other class but i thought i should drive from the paladin because of their many oshit abilities - too many for me to set up with clique and remember them all. Should i drive from the paladin or one of the others?
4. Should i get weapons or trinkets first?
5. Anyone have links to good druid, priest, paladin pvp healer builds?
Thanks!
:D

For Pally Healing, I've been using the system Mosg2 developed for the DK Manifesto.
You have two macros.
And set up IS Boxer so that spamming your DPS Key... which you might not have with three healers, alternates between the two macros.
Macro A
/castsequence [@focus,exists,nodead] Flash of Light, Flash of Light
/cast Holy Shock
Macro B
/castsequence [@focus,exists,nodead] Holy Shock, Holy Shock, Holy Shock, Word of Glory
The idea being, if you have a focus set, then spamming your DPS keys results in very strong healing at your focus.
The first macro is a Holy Shock whenever available, and otherwise a Flash of Light.
The second macro will advance as the first fires off... and will WoG after every third HS.
Combine that with:
- Self Bubble
- Self Hand of Protection
- Self Lay on Hands
(Might want to change these to be targetable?)
- Divine Plea (mana)
- Big Button (All off of the GCD: Divine Favor, Avenging Wrath, Aura Mastery, Divine Protection, Guardian of Ancient Kings, Trinkets).
- Judgement (9% spell haste)
- Hammer of Justice (Stun)
And then use Grid/Clique for healing most of the time.
If someone is being focused, set them as Focus.
And mindlessly heal them with big and inefficient heals, but massive healing throughput.
Otherwise mouse over healing.
I have these spells on easy binds:
- Flash of Light, Divine Light, Holy Shock, Word of Glory, Cleanse.
If you're going to manage Holy Power, I'd take both second from the bottom sets of talents.
If you're just going to Flash of Light (fast) or Divine Light (efficient) or Cleanse with mouse-over healing like me, then Holy Shock/Word of Glory is only really used with the macro.
Which means you'll never WoG until you've done three HS's...
Which means talents to get Holy Power faster are wasted.
I went with: http://www.wowhead.com/talent#scIrdrzuubZhZcbM

After a couple hours of setting up my little team, i finally got to use them in bgs. As long as my mana held out, i was unkillable unless several horde focused on one toon. Quite a few people simply gave up trying to kill me. In av i guarded a gy until it capped. A couple different melee classes came by and attempted to kill me. I just kept out healing their damage until other alliance wandered by and stopped to kill them. During an AB i was able to help keep LM through repeated mass zergs. As long as at least two dpsers are around im fine. If its just one, they will run away leaving me to heal myself until my mana runs out.
Im still playing around with clique trying to get to the point where im not spamming hots like crazy. Paladin healing is different. Priest/druid are pretty similar but the paladin has no hots, which were my main method of healing in pve.
I had fun but it was disheartening to lose every single BG. Through the random queue, i got ab, av, gilneas, and av again. Makes me wish i had stuck with horde. When ab started i thought the map had been edited until i realized i was looking at it from the alliance end. I may try to join a pvp guild.

Themuffinman, or might be Tehmuffinman on this forum had the idea of multiple healbot frames.
And to divide them into sections with a graphical border around them.
The idea was a repeater region, set so when you are in one section is acts as if you were holding one modifier, and a different modifier in another section.
Rather than that approach, you could have the left section or left set of frame goes to one healer.
The middle goes to another healer.
And the right goes to the last.
With that many healers, you could play different styles.
The Druid can HOT, Priest can shield and Pally can single target heal anyone taking spike damage.
Or whatever you want to do.
Each has their own strengths.
I think having a Shaman on the team would be neat too; Mana Tide would rock for your team... plus the last healer style and Earth Shield, Riptide, Healing Rain, Tremor Totem, etc.

I am going to add the shaman from my second pve team once it reaches 85.

I've been doing bg's with 5 resto druids for a while now. But all different classes... Sounds like fun :)
I bet it will confuse the enemy. Which healer to kill first....
And with multiboxing healers, your faction is always happy. Even if you don't do anything :)

I rolled around in the 70-79 bracket with 4 resto druids pre-cata. It was pretty fun.

I really need to set up a DPS rotation. As it stands right now I just stand there healing myself until someone shows up. In my latest BG, some moonkin kept cycling through my group cycloning me and then standing there seemingly confused for a few seconds wondering how I was still healing. Eventually someone showed up and kill him.

I want to do an all healer group.
I've got the Feral Druids at 85th, but the DK's are a far superior composition.
It is ok for DK's to be able to break fear and be immune to it with a base ability, but that was overpowered for druids with a last point in the tree talent; plus Stun break/immune, Pushback immunity, Anti-Magic Shell, Army of the Dead vs swarms of bad guys... so many extra tools, especially the option to choose between Hungering Cold + Obliterate to pick off swarms of opponents one at a time or Howling Blast to kill groups with strong AoE.
Druids can sacrifice a GCD for snare immunity, and in 4.1 will be root immune (this time by round-robin their 83 speed boost spell, instead of sacrificing a GCD); DK's just Death Grip the other guys in and snare them as badly as they are snared themselves.
Anyway, Ferals aren't as good of a melee team... way more DPS, but less control, immunities, resistances, survivability, etc.
Already being 85th is a major point in their favor.
They'll still have stealth to a degree.
And HOT madness, combined with round-robin bigger heals... could be fun.
I have a Boomkin/Bear + 4x Shaman group at 80th.
I have a 5x Disc Priest group at 77th (still doing 4 Grizzly Hills quests in 6 minutes each day, for 8% of a level).

Im having great fun pvping the healers. I love pvp healing. I havent gotten any grief for boxing and my little team can turn the tide against a huge zerg if some dps hang around for the fight. I would like to have a shaman for the antifear totem.
For quite a while i was cycling through teams, leveling them up a couple levels at a time. The i got the first team to 80 and the leveling sped up a lot. Now i want to get my second team to 85 so i can add the shaman to the pvp healers. I also want to get the shaman team's tank to 85 so i can easily powerlevel my only sub-60 toon (39 AH mule mage) to at least 60.
Anyway, back on topic.
I went to stormwind's honor vendor using my lvl 39 mule and did not see ANY weapons for sale using just honor. Are you now required to do arenas to get pvp weapons? I hate arenas.

You can buy iLV 346 weapons, that are crafted.
You can get iLV 333 from Crucible of Carnage (Ring of Blood, equivalent).
The current pvp weapons are arena.
One handers like the Healer Mace, cost two week of capping points (5 wins per week).
Not necessarily two full weeks of points, I think I had 9 wins then bought it.
The two handers cost three weeks worth of wins.
Pretty sure its going to be two weeks of capping plus two or three games in week 3.
In 4.2 with the next Raid/Arena Season, the current Conquest gear will be straight honor.
With new Conquest stuff.
So until then, you need Arena or Rated BG's, before you can get an actual pvp weapon.

Ive been gone from pvp since shortly after wotlk launched. I wasnt aware there were no more honor weapons. I hate arenas. Im not even sure how i would play this team in arenas.
Prot/cat/holy?
I can picture myself losing constantly.

At this stage in arena, it is hard to break in with undergeared toons.
At least under pvp geared.
You'd probably be best off getting honor gear.
Possibly starting with the crafted resilience set, making gearing up less painful.
And then taking one at a time, in two's, and getting points that way.
That was/is my approach, with the DK's.
The arena season was a couple of months old, when I tried to break in.
Eighteen matches of 5's, without even a kill.
Of course the set up needed tweaking, and the honor grind was only 2/3rds done at that point... with crappy weapons on a 4x Melee team.
But anyway... running one toon at a time, in 2's, for a few weeks...
And building towards full honor gear...
Has been working well.

I really really enjoy this little team. I sometimes see pvp geared priests in the bgs with five people beating on them and they seem unkillable. Cant wait until i have three healers like that. Im already unkillable by regular random people. They simply cant do enough damage. I am pretty good at capping flags too when i turn broadcasting on. Sometimes people get so angry they come back to try to get me, over and over.
Even with my beginners set of crafted pvp gear, i am usually in the top five for healing on the alliance side. Top three if its a small bg. I have zero spirit on the pally and druid so when im out of mana im in trouble.
What hurts me is fear bombs that make the toons run clear out of sight. I usually can target a random horde and press my IWT key and get them back but its very annoying. i also hate arena geared warriors. I need to make a Spread Out key in isboxer so their damn whirlwind doesnt rape me.
Things i need to do:
Make a mouseover macro for lay on hands / hand of freedom
Pare down my clique binds
Look for an alternative to grid (as all healers it would be nice if grid let me actually target people - maybe my fault)
Get a little more honor for the 300 resil, two minute trinket (will be ~1500 resil on each toon then)
Start doing twos on each toon to get weapons (joined a pvp guild so this may be easy to accomplish; i will probably stick with healing so i dont have to waste G on more gear)
Get better weapons - i have not seen any crafted pvp weapons on the AH
Start using a Vee or Line formation once im at a spot i expect to stay at - im very open to aoe now
Finally, Is it possible to make a macro that changes my aura to crusader when mounted and concentration when i dismount?

With Grid, my DK's will target anyone they click on.
With Grid, my Paladin will cast something at anyone I click on, because I've set Clique to interpret Left/Right clicks as heals; the only click on a Grid frame that Clique interprets as target and not cast is Control Left Click.
But you can configure it however you like.
It is Clique and not Grid, that is preventing you from selecting targets with Grid.
As per Mosg2 in the DK Manifesto, I'm trying to use straight clicks.
I was using Alt + Left, Alt + Right, Ctrl + Left, Ctrl + Right, etc.
He was using Left, Right, Scroll Up, Scroll Down, Middle, Thumb 1, Etc.
Much easier to heal without mod keys, with the mouse.
If you don't have the two minute trinket, that will be #1 priority.
After that two pieces of gear for the +300 Resilience bonus, with a possible emphasis on Helm (Meta Gem) and/or Gloves (extra bonus, if its useful).
Two of the remaining five pieces, for the four-piece bonus might be good.
Especially if they have sockets which you need to activate your Meta gem.
But I would also consider going +Res pieces in slots where you have no Resilience.
Until 4.1, stacking Resilience is probably the best you can do, in pvp.
After 4.1, resilience calculation changes such that over 32.5% (just over 3k Res) has less mitigation for the same amount of Resilience.
You could ask for a Blacksmith with all recipes to link you, in trade.
Or possibly search wowhead.
