View Full Version : Forget greens and blues, I just realized...

Forget greens and blues, I just realized that one of my guys was running around in a random WHITE item ('http://www.wowhead.com/?item=1852'). I thought I had carefully audited everyone as we started the L58 outlands quests, but these were never noticed until a guildmate started making fun of me.
Perhaps it's time to take a break from instance leveling and shop a little at the AH for a gear upgrade!!

Or maybe I'll just hold out for the Clefthoof Mastery questline at L64 and upgrade the whole team at once.
Anyone else struggle with trying to keep track of outdated gear as you level up?

At level 58 I realized one of my guys was still wearing a pair of boots from his lvl 2 quest. Not quite sure how it got past me.
Thankfully outland upgrades are so good that I just burned through the boot quest.

Yeah it happens :) I've accidentally eqipped gear I meant to sell then sell the gear I wanted, thats why whenever I have a choice of quest items and I won't use any of them I will choose something I cannot equip :)

Im at lvl 49 and still rocking like some low lvl items. Their OP I tell you OP!
Heh, I caught our main healer in a Gruul raid one night with her riding crop equipped, oh I gave her hell!
Oh yeah, at 56 my Pally is still mainly wearing chain mail and some AH green plate from like level 40. The shammy's got the maraudon quest robes and hat just so they'd look the same, past that it's just as I think of it. I know a couple of them still have the Lavishly Jeweled ring from VC. Fact is it just doesn't matter pre-outlands. Once I get to OL I'll get serious about my gear because I want to run each of the instances and beat them as I go, not just come back and OP them at 70.
At level 1 I put minor speed enchant on some boots that wouldn't bind. These were white, lvl 1 items with no stats.
After reading your post I realized 2 of my lvl 53 shammies were still wearing these.

I feel like this must be a problem for all 5 boxers. I too have problems keeping all my gear upgraded. I had a friend boosting my shamans, and he must have inspected one of them. He says "hey man, you are still wearing the starter pants on your one character". Typical.
When leveling I wore nothing but quest rewards and instance drops from instances that I was xp farming in. All the characters matched so all I had to do was look at their mana and health to see if one of them was wearing gear he shouldn't have been. I wouldn't equip the instance drop until all 4 characters had their piece. This kept me from accidentally equipping something and selling my good gear a couple different times. Of course this only works if you are leveling characters of the same class.

It's amazing how easily (when boxing) you can accidentally equip something you meant to sell etc, with 1 character it's fine but with 5 you try and click stuff quickly or get the wrong screen and all hell can break loose.
I managed to find a grey chest piece with 72 armor (or something) on my tankadin at level 64, now I still wonder where my 25 stam 800 armor version went :(

I was standing in IF the other day waiting for BG to pop again for my twin lvl 15 hunters, and a random guy was checking out my stuff .. he was being cool and asking about the dual-boxing and stuff .. then he goes "you know your twin (Mctwo) has white gloves on right?" I was like OH Crap! I forgot to put on my Defias gloves on my 2nd toon. LOL
