Easy to clear for my 5 ele shammies, til the bosses. Rhazkor, the first boss. Utter wipe. Second try, barely squeaked by with one member left. Then the elite pat came just after the first res :( Got to Sneed, downed the first half, mechanical. wiped on the goblin. Tried to 4man him as the 5th was out of res range. No dice. And time was running short, so I gave up on it.
I just don't have the mana. I'm mostly quest/LW gear, all identical. Gonna have to change that stance as far as instances go. We dinged 19 just before Sneed. There's not any enchants for int at this level, none that I have. Gearing is part of the problem, not many pieces of leather eagle gear, like ever. Even going back later at 19(now), won't be much difference in outcome. My technique is basically tanking the bosses, taking the hits til one after the other falls. There's not enough mana for offensive and healing. And while the kite method is ok, i'm too little. I still need to do a lot of setup/macros. I haven't bothered doing a healing cast/macro setup yet. And that might help, I think I'm just too low. Sneed/mech is level 20 vs my 18/19's. I don't see getting past Smite for a couple levels. And if I can't do Smite, I surely can't do VC :thumbdown:
I should take some consolation in my minor accomplishments, and I know there's a lot more to work through/figure out.
I'll probably begin boosting. Questing is proving ok, yet slow. And instances, thinking about the earn per effort, just not worth it . At least DM, you can't avoid the bosses. Stocks, there's only a couple 'bosses', since they're quest mobs, essentially, I'm not sure they're harder than the other instance elites in there. SM is good, cuz bosses are at the end. I'm really not sure how people are raving about instance grinds for levelling. Maybe I do need a real tank. Maybe it's easier at 40, with mail. I have a 20 something pally already prot and well geared from BS. But every old world instance, you need to hit it 5 levels prior to able-to-do-it level, as the drops are levelled lower than the level you typically want to do it. When they level to 70, I plan on swapping out char's already at 70, anyway for drops. I'll do some more thinking and practicing.
