Hello. I've been following the Beginners Guide on Beginners Guide 2 Dual-Boxing (3,4,5 boxing) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3339')
But somehow, my WoWAce shuts down after a while.
Can I still make it using that Guide? I don't want to pay for the Keyclone if it won't work.
As a sidenote, my final plan is to play 4 shamans.
Though I've got a pretty good laptop... it's still a laptop. So if I use very low settings, it is still possible to get an acceptable amount of FPS?
ASUS G1S-AK005G
Core 2 Duo T7500
2.2 GHz (somewhat low I guess. but that's as far as a laptop goes...)
Centrino Duo
RAM 2 GB (can fix this up if needed)
HDD 160 GB
8600M GT (pretty slow Graphics card in my opinion)
Vista 32bit

First, WoWAceUpdater (which is what I assume you're saying is failing for you) and Keyclone are two completely independent things. You can be successful with just keyclone and no addons at all.
Second, even if WoWAceUpdater doesn't work for you, just go update your Ace-based addons manually from http://files.wowace.com.

Thank you very much ^^
Actually, it downloads the stuff (takes around 1 minute for it to stop working), so I don't have to have it "on" at any time? It's just for updating purposes?
Might get my own version of Keyclone soon then. Still wonder if anyone can tell me if it's possible to run 4 instances on this laptop?
Started up 2 instances of WoW and the FPS didn't even budge. So playing x4 with low Graphics might work?

We could tell you it might. While not trying to be snide, PC's tend to develop personality. On paper, yes or no, I didn't look. But you putting it into practice is the only way to be sure. It might be specced to run 4 copies, but not want to. So try it. You lose about 10 minutes copying directiores, and maybe a good hour of testing it, noting your fps.

I've had this issue with WAU a couple of times on occasion, the reason behind this is that WAU has an auto-update feature, and you basically got pushed an update with a slight glitch, removal of WAU and reinstallation should fix it. This always works for me at least, also I have noticed that I only get this issue on my windows xp x64 machine.
Also why they say that using the WAU wont always get expected results cause you are snatching directly from the SVN and getting the "bleeding-edge version" of the addon. Why most people manually download from files.wowace.com.
