Dindrenzi and his dislike of scanning!

Well, that was a very slow and painful process! Sat exposed in a WH, in my Drake while trying to scan down another mining site as the previous one has expired.

After a painful half an hour of trying to get my probes to move where I wanted them (Right click to move the map around, which I only figured out towards the end) and what do I get.....

A BLOODY WORMHOLE!!!

What good is that to me as a miner lol

So I abandoned the search, sat exposed in a WH is not good for my nerves, as Morg found out yesterday when I paniced when his sigil appeared on my scan.

Guess i'll take a break and hope a compentent scanner, in a covops ship, can scan me a new site down (nudge, nudge Morg)

Scanning may be ok if I was in a cloaked ship and not so exposed :)

Did you try scanning from the safety of the POS?

Can't scan under a Force Field :(

Just stick your nose out of the field. You can always back up if you get targeted and no one is gonna mess with you at the POS anyway, even if your nose is sticking out.

Yeah.

On a second note, never warp your fleet into a Grav Core Isolated site, forgetting that your Corps mate CovOps ship is in your fleet and nearly gets destroyed (Sorry Morg :()

Hmm no cloak installed? prob not but you can scan while cloaked but you need to launch the probes first then cloak

Wait, what? You just can't drop probes inside the force field. Go to a planet, drop your probes, warp back inside forcefield!

You don't even have to do that, just stick your nose outside the forcefield (I fly to the guns, deploy probes, then fly back to my POS bookmark while I'm on the map).

That's what I do too now. Bearing in mind the first post was my first attempt to scan, after playing eve for 8 weeks and just entering a WH for the first time :)
