Standings gain from storyline

?!?!? Is this normal? I was floored. Best I got from storylines in sub-L4 missions was about 5%.

They did some tweaks to the epic story lines a few months back, and they did up the percentages gained from the state standing. I wasnt aware that they increase it that much, but hopefully it makes it better for people.

Grinding COSMOS missions is a pain to get your standings up, but its the quickest.

Where are you missioning at Ugh? Motsu?

I was in Kakakela (1.0 space). I'm avoiding Motsu and the other main hubs. I found a couple in 0.5 space last night and am moving to one of those this evening.

[edit] I'm giving serious thought to finding an agent with something like Suukuvestuu or some other corp that isn't Caldari Navy so I can avoid the overpopulated crap like Motsu. I'm not out to make max ISK/hour...I'm only in it for the fun. ;)

try make sure its at least 3 or 4 jumps from low sec unless you don't mind going to low sec to do missions

Yep, yep. I'm in one that's pretty close and eventually I get a low sec courier but I'm not too worried about it. Didn't see a single soul on the one they send me on last night. :P

yeah couriers are not to bad to goto low sec for once in a while its the combat ones that you need to worry about :)
