I'm going to be dinging 70 today or tomorrow and was wondering if any fellow boxers on the Bloodlust battlegroup would like to meet up for some practice 5v5 arenas? I need to rework my macros/addons/control for arena and having a fellow boxer to work through it would be awesome. Also any up and comer boxers on bg9 feel free to drop me a PM if you want to practice arena in the future!
Also, how hard is it to grind honor in BG9 as a 70 boxer? Half my guild transferred because they were running up against all premades and they said Alliance was terrible at AV....not looking forward to it :(
*Edit
EotS on Bloodlust seems to be 90% premade, but AB is still a place where PuGs can battle it out some of the time.
Wait, correct me if i'm wrong, but isnt BG9 "teh hardcore"? I saw some post in the PvP wow forums regarding this, or was the poster being sarcastic?
Im currently 4 boxing shamans on BG9 (Blackrock) level 23. BG9 is the uber hardcore. Its regarded as the best battle group out there. All the famous pvp'ers come from here for the most part. I wanted to do it here because not only will i be challenged but also becuase it will get my name out there faster ^^

BG9's competition only comes into play when you enter the 2k+ rating, from what I've been told at least. It is the area a lot of top tier PvP'rs flock to, but you'll only see them at the upper echelons. Most importantly though, play with friends ^^ , not what battlegroup your on. If I didn't have so many long standing relations though I would probably be on this battlegroup to see how I fair. Blasted friends!!

Did my first arena an hour ago as soon as I dung 70 with a mage Chelseamoon and we managed to kill 1 and lost 18 points. Second arena was kill 0 and lose 1 points. Looked like 4/5 vengeance opponents so this should be fun :pinch: .
Once again, anyone up for practicing let me know, I could totally use it!
Yeah I agree, I prefer to play with friends. Which is why it took me forever and then some to get my alt shamans to 70 (friends on a low pop BG).

Oh yeah I didn't have my trinket or train my level 70 spells yet  I just couldn't wait though.

Uhm...
heroism/bloodlust?
... Seriously. It's the #1 reason to bring a shaman to an arena group.

So far I've done 5 eots and 1 ab and they have all been against premades with 250+ resilience it seems. Looks like I'm going to have to make my own premade groups if I stand any chance of getting some honor.
Are there no other 5 boxers on bloodlust? Practice makes perfect!

I played on BR(alliance) for a while, and I wasn't that impressed. When my group was 64, I was taking out 3-4 level 70's all the time, whether they got the jump or not. And that's with my pve group(pally, mage, lock, shammy, priest). And I don't proclaim to be great at pvp.
Tichondrius supposedly has the best players, and is pretty much why BG9 is considered the best group. At least imo.

I have BG9 Horde and Alliance, Horde are Barthilas, Alliance are Blackrock.
BG9 you will find that all of EOTS is pre-mades (both sides do it, all you see is advertising for 250+ resillience minimum, blah blah blah).
The honor grind for new 70's is totally killer. 90% of 1500 - 1850 is Season 3 Geared Teams powerlevelling up for 1850+ personal rating or being paid to take someone else through. Pretty full on :(

I got jumped by a rogue outside Mana Tombs with everyone 65. Pally stun resisted. Psychic Scream resisted, Howl of Terror resisted, Cloak of Shadows. Priest down. Eventually managed to kill the rogue but with the amount of resists I am getting I don't see how you can handle 3-4 70s at the same time unless you are ganking from range while they are trying to summon or they are afk.

I haven't ganked anyone in years. On BR, I was left alone for the most part until I got to Terrokar Forest, where I'd see constant attempts on my life :) I'd have one of my character's camera pointed at the sky, so I could see aerial gankers, one on backwards view also. So I knew what was coming. Focus fire kills single players REAL quick :D Having a good setup to handle the times when your main goes to heaven helps as well. I'm sure if I came up on a premade 70 group on vent, I'd get toasted.
BG9 is the most hardcore of the group, when i did a bit of arena on my warrior i was finding groups at 1500-1600 who where wearing atleast 200 resilience, and this was well into the season. Sure they could be farmers or whatever but it was way to regular. It is a very competative battlegroup, mixed from tichondrious, blackrock, barthalis and frostmourne to name a few. All very well developed realms which have massive pvp communities. Both BG Premades and Arenas are very difficult, but with this comes time where you can improve your skill. If i was 70 id love to give some unrated matches with you :(
Ive been with bg9 my whole life, and there are alot of angry moments, but ill often see people ive met in the past from other realms its pretty funny actually. Good to catch upto someone you used to raid with 2 years ago. (there always better geared)

BG9 is overrated. Sure it has some of the best, but it also has too many wannabes.
As alliance, the only realm I particularly fear is blackrock. Barthilas a little bit, but everything else is just meh. An occasional powerhouse from tich comes along but most tichs are bad. Speaking purely BGs, not arenas for this.
Unless you are among the best in your battlegroup and want the high level arena comp you shouldn't reroll on BG9 just to be on BG9.

I am on Kil'Jaedin horde. I had 4 67 Shamans lost two last weekend so I am leveling up two more replacements, they hit 45 last night in just over 1d played!
Me and my friends are considering transferring off KJ as soon as we get a free transfer because the BG Q's are borked. AV is one hour plus. It is pretty horrendous.
By all accounts BG farming on Bloodlust is pretty much out the window. If you don't run a premade you are toast. If you don't have 250+ resil you're toast. It is a pretty brutal battlegroup to start on. If you want to be on Bloodlust you should probably gear up somewhere else first. The problem is that the battlegrounds are run by guys in full s3 gear farming honor.
If there are any alli on blackrock we can group together and have a very good chance at taken down the groups.

4 shamans :)

EotS and AB are farmed by premades almost exclusively. It is rare to get a PuG vs PuG game. WSG however is almost always PuG vs PuG because most of the premades will be 15 man teams queing for EotS and AB.
I'm leveling 5 shamans on Tichondrius (BG9). I've been at it a couple weeks now, about to ding 40 finally. I've got some steam behind me so I'm thinking in about a month I can do some practice arenas with ya.

In the few games I've done in arena there have been arena farmers about 30% of the time, and I've been outgeared 75% of the time. Seems to be a lot of people around 1500 rating who buy their season 3 weapons from arena rating sellers, but they don't have full vengeful gear so it's still possible to kill them. Still, I love the hunters that can take a lightning bolt and crit lightning x 4 ;( .
At least I'll have a long time to practice while I wait for my arena points to amass at my 1500 rating (aka 6 months :pinch: ).
