Do you bother to round robin the standard of unity when you do instances? How do you remember to do it?

Pretty sure you are using IS Boxer, from other posts you've made.

If this is the case, pick a bar slot that is unused.
Give it a keybind.
Put the item in that slot on all of your characters.

Create a mapped key.
If you run with five characters, I'd go with ten steps.

On odd steps, ie 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, go with:
Do not advance to next step for at least 2 seconds.
And send the keybind to one of your toons.

On even steps, ie 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10, go with:
Do not advance to the next step for at least 118 seconds.

That makes the assumption that you're staying in range of the first Standard of Unity for its 2 minute duration.

If you go with this approach, insert this mapped key into something you spam during combat.
As a Do Mapped Key action, Target All windows.
It will only fire off once, and for one character only... and be unable to advance to the next use of the item, until the current use expires.

If you find yourself moving beyond its range, before it expires.
Just go with one step per character, no extra steps.
And set do not advance for at least..... 'x' seconds.
So you don't accidently spam the key... but have it on its own keybind, not something that auto occurs as part of your DPS spam.

You could also put the item into a wow macro.
Something like:
/use [nocombat] Standard of Unity
