I'll try to make this nice & short :)

I would like to see if anyone has ever left or thought of leaving a server in which you already have several 70's and lots of gold.

I currently play on Venture Co. (rppvp) server I left Emerald Dream to come here and honestly the server hasnt had high population which = no or very little AH activity. I play Horde

I have 70-warrior / 70-pally / 70-shaman

4x 59 shammies / 4x 40 locks

well over 4k gold not including tons of mats I ve accumulated.

But recent post have me thinking about moving or trying out different classes :) 1 post was playing on a high populated server = more AH action which I kinda like to have. I also recently read how much fun the combo of 4 hunters is. :) I just cant stop thinking of 5 Ne's in shadowmeld in bg's opening up with a few aimed shots.

someone please convince me otherwise. Is it worth it to go to another server and leave all my investments behind? I also read about some joining other server that have 5-boxers to team up with.

Any / all input is appreciated.

Thanks

Try it out!

I started with the Zerg on Al'Akir (EU) and don't regret it.

Ok. I don't have the time to play that much right now... so I'm still level 15 but I try to level faster (Promise!)...

You can always go back to the other characters.

Just leave your main and start with 4 (or 5?) chars of the classes you like. You don't need gold or higher level chars, leveling goes fast as f*ck anyway. Then you can always add an imba lvl 70 to the group takingsome, or all of the gold with you.

Indeed, just try it, because once you multibox you will continue to do so, so no waste of money whatsoever.

:P

I had a 70 rogue on Gul'dan with 1k gold and already had his epic mount pre-bc; this was more than all my other 60s and misc alts combined, and my only epic mount period. I did indeed abandon it eventually, then awhile later BC came out, tried to pick it back up but couldn't get into the server it was on. Abandoned once again, lvl'd my hunter and druid to 70 in that order...so yeah, I abandoned my only well-off char in favor of chars with friends pretty much.

(Though a few months later when my ex started playing again, she had a lock on gul'dan with my rogue; we both transferred the chars to mag and lvl'd them to 70 together lol)

:) It depends on what you like to do. It sounds like you like PVE content. Auction houses , trading, framing instances, trade goods, etc. If thats the case then strating fresh on another server with new toons is not a problem. See how you like the server, auction house etc. If the reason you want to transfer is your Battle group sucks for PVP content , then by all means move toons. As long as you only move from pvp to pvp or normal to normal server you can always move back if you don't like it in 90 days. The hard part of starting over on a new server is lvling the professions (eng, BS, etc) Once you have toons on a server with these lvled it makes it so much nicer.

I have 15 70s on one server and start new grps on that same server to allow grp to focus on lvling and not profession lvling. I did start new grps on PVP servers and lvl them up 70. But I still find more fun with old server where I have a good base of toons to pull from to cover almost any instance. I love BG grinding with 5 toons and you have to have a good Battle group with fast queing. Being able to get 3 locks,3 3mages, pal tank , war tank , druid tank , pal healer , preist healer, druid healer, Hunter, shammy at will is soo nice.

I hate low pop servers. Besides the lack of AH activity, IF always feels like a ghost town. It's depressing in there when it's just you and the bread vendor :(

I transferred my toons to a new server pre-tbc to take advantage of the low queue times to the battlegrounds when they had that pvp patch. I got bored so fast because everywhere was a ghost town. After taking a long break from the game, I switched back to Daggarspine and it felt like I was playing the game again. I love playing on a pvp server, and since I'm Aliance on a horde majority server, there is no lack of opportunity to "interact" with the opposing faction :) I think i've spent a couple hundred dollars moving toons around , especially since I got my extra accounts for multi boxing, I've separated all my toons for plug and play where I need them. It was fun going into Ramps last night with my 70 Druid tank, 70 Shadow Priest, 61 Rogue, and my gf on her 62 balance druid, its wonderful having the instance to yourself hehe..
