Where to after SM: GY and at what level

Well now with a 5 box team of a pally tank and 4 shammy I am lv 31 and have been in SM: GY for 2 levels. I am wondering where to go next and at what level should I go there?



I tried questing and it just is not so fun as a 5 boxer. maybe it is better at 40??

Personally, I don't plan on skipping most quests. You don't get faction rep, while not major, the costs can be large over 5 or more toons. And imagine each toon on a different mount :) Quests are also small change, some good gear, and really, more practice. While the old world is not deserted, on my server, it's noticeably quieter. Why look a fool in outland, cuz you didn't build a solid foundation along the way. Take the time, do the quests, and become a solid boxer. Not that I'm a great expert. But I was doing the math today, near 500g for basic mount, around 3k for epic land, 5k for basic fly, and 25k for epic. You're going (me am) to need time to build up that huge bankroll to do this. Or you'll be a basic land mount 70, trying to earn epic ground, much less flying. And maybe flying is more important, and funds easier to get. But today's resource grind is a little sponge against the future's expenses.

Well it depends if you want to run instances or pvp @ 70,
world questing gives you heaps of pvp help, because you have a bounty on you and people do gang up just to take you dont and its good practice.
on the other hand running instances flat out will give you pve and healing tactics and help you learn as your levelling the best way todo things.
I did smgy until 33 - library until 36 - armory until 38 and cath until 40.
and i did the quests in theramore for a bit of a breakup one weekend.

In the end at lv 70, I want to do a combo of Pve and Pvp. Getting season 1 pvp gear should be easily doable (just need time). Getting S2 or S3 will be much tougher as I need to find a good healer to play with. I think it will be very inefficient to try to heal and dps at the same time.

With regards to PVE, well that should be no problem as I have the pally tank and 4 dps shamen.

I wanted to do instances until nearly 40 for the good gear. I heard and read here that at lv 40, questing becomes faster with just a few instance runs for newer gear as it is needed. Thus I hoped to make the cash I need via instance runs from lv 32 to lv 40 and then get the mounts for my team. Once lv 40 - 42 is reached, hopefully everyone has a mount and I can do quests for the next 30 levels.

SM cath till 40. Get the mounts then bust a move to Gaget in Tanaris 40-48 :P Lots of fun quests in the desert~!

SM is an awesome place if you can manage to just grind it out ^^ will take you through many levels. I'd say just instance it up with 5, and go to the next spot on the chart - which is I think.. ZF or Ulda.

My plan is to run all the instances because I haven't seen most of them. Which is why you see me finishing up BRD at level 62. Next stop is going to be LBRS, Strat, DM, Scholo...
