Hey all, I just wanted to take a moment to peddle some vaporware. I'm looking into writing an addon for our community for something I would like to see implemented - Multibox Broadcasting. Explanation follows, in story form:
I was hanging around Orgrimmar recently, making circles, conga lines, and generally entertaining a crowd. I kept getting requests to make them dance, say certain things, etc. I felt the need to make several macros and phrases to entertain the group, but it was a pain in the ass to set them all up on each computer, and obviously I couldn't leave them bound to keys and such. So I plan to get my lazy butt in gear, pick up the old Lua stick, and put together an addon that will allow multiboxers to use chat and emote functions vicariously through their alts.
This will be a rough project for me, because it requires an interface, something I have limited expertise with creating in WoW. However, I think it'll be worth it, and I think others in this community will use it. It will work much like the whisper forwarding function in Dualboxtoolkit does; in fact, I intend to include a whisper broadcast function as that's the only functionality I use in that addon. I'll keep you all posted, wish me luck. Also, I apologize for broadcasting vaporware. I promise I'll have something more tangible soon...
