I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned somewhere, but when I go to instances with my 3 spriests (so taking up all dps spots), and we dis a shard for example,

is it a general rule to roll 3 times, or roll once? As 3 chars need 3x the gear, 3x the enchants etc, but still I feel rude for rolling 3 times as it seems unfair.
Also, I'm usually leader, so I keep it FFA and ask them politely to be able to fairly split it at the end (which once again.. do I get 3/5th , or 1/3rd of the loot?)

It's just been bugging me as I don't want to come over as an ass towards the community, but 3 chars _do_ require 3x the gearing etc

opinions?

ah the loot problem continues ^^

If you are the sharder or leader the best way to ensure you are going to get your fair share of it (shards at least) is to use the /roll 1-5 thingy.. that way if you are in a group, there are only 5 ppl and you give the shard to the person whos number appears.

so Your main is in position1 and you roll a 1 it goes to you, for two its the next one in your party etc etc.. you set the rolling, not the players with you :)

happy gaming

FunkStar, like you say it's a horrible situation as you don't want to be "rude" - Personally if I'm playing 2 I only take 1 set of loots, if I'm playing 3 I can generally let them decide, if its my decision I just take 1 set.

It's a sacrafice but I guess the positive way to look at it is if your the dps then you should get through the instance faster ;)

I'm too nice for my own good half the time, so I feel bad if I roll on more than 1 char for greed purposes, aka non-worn greens etc; though for Shards everyone can use them, and while it technically seems greedy for all chars to roll on them, it's not, as they need enchants too and are still seperate chars & present, doing their part of the work.

When it comes to gear the chars can wear though, any that will wear it, will roll. If someone has a problem with that they can kiss my tubby boomkin ass :D

i usally gague it per run . boe greens/blues/epics i roll greed on all my chars if at the end every blue was sharded i give tank and healer there shard and the other dps if there is one and we decide openly what to do with the others.

most of the time groups allow me to take as if i was 2 people . if its a guild run there shouldnt be a problem with loot and mostly on pugs if people ask i tell them that the other char is my brother if i dont know anyone in the group.

sometimes keeping it low profile has it uses

When I've played with friends and dual boxing, I too feel slightly bad, and just roll once. Since I don't group with strangers, yet, that's the only time it's come up. And ffs its a friend along, not some nub pugger

For me, BoE's are Greed - I get 1 roll. BoP's... if you need it you need it. I usually am the Tank and the Healer when I go to help out ... so it doesn't generally matter to the other people there ... we wouldn't even be going if I wasn't there :)

Well I only two box, a warrior and a shaman (Fury + Enhancement, so both melee). And groups don't even know I'm 2-boxing unless I tell them. If it's a "bad" group I'll roll with both. If it's not, then I only roll with one.

I play 5 toons so I don't have this problem :P When I play 2-4 toons in a group i roll for every toon present.
