View Full Version : All of a sudden, it's my fault! =S

<rant>After playing the BGs ALL day on my "lead" character alone (w/o the alts), and loosing about EVERY single game, and having plenty of slots left in the BGs (because it's passed midnight here), I decided "What the hell..." and brought my alts in for a chance in AB. Well, long story short... all of us "multiboxers" are idiots, morons, and should die! That is, according to the trash talk I got in RAID chat. From the INSTANT this guy, Maliruss (from Rexxar) seen me... he started bashing, and soon EVERYBODY blamed the doomed game on me (oh, but of course... it's all my fault). =S I politely informed them that multiboxing was perfectly legal, and directed them toward this site; however, that didn't phase them a bit.
WoW would be 300% more enjoyable if Blizzard actually monitored the channels... 'cause the trash talk is getting VERY old, and I'm half-tempted to cut ties solely because of it. It's not just being a "boxer", you could be playing alone and all the "crap" talk constantly going on in TRADE / GENERAL channels in ANY city is enough to make even the Pope bitch-slap something after awhile!</rant> :cursing:

I have all the public channels off, except for Trade and that's only on my AH character.
EoTS was the daily a few days ago for me.. so i loaded up my hunter and holy pally for giggles and went to work. We were winning and I was just having fun slaughtering ppl, when some nub rogue comes out and says 'Willi/Ionn are botting make sure to report them afk'. Warr pointed out that Willi/Ionn were leading the kills and healing meters and to stfu and play.
sometimes it all works out for the good.. :D

well people just have to blame someone for their own fault and lack of skill
alliance at cyclone buttlegroup loses 95% of BGs and sure if you come as boxer and lose as well, people will say it is because of you ;)
I wish I was horde, too bad my friends are alliance. I cant understand how can whole battlegroup's alliance (thousands and thousands of people) be so nooby. I mean I have played my raider epic mage yesterday at AB, horde had like 5 healers, including unkillable resto druid, and we, alliance, had none. Surely in pvp gear I cant nuke the hell outta healing class with 300+ resilience... sigh

Yep. I typically only queue for AV (since AV is a "guaranteed loss" for alliance on my battlegroup so they can't blame me) and the fact that I'm not taking up 1/3 or more of the battleground by my own undergeared self. If I get harassed, I just point to the damage meters. Typically I'm on top even WITH my 400 spelldmg.

I'd stick to AV as much as possible, once you have your marks that is ofc. Sadly until then it will be difficult to avoid the harassment. It typically only happens in EoTS and AB. not that I'm high enough yet to play them but I have witnessed it first hand. Unfortunately AB is nigh impossible unless you leave the rest of the team to defend points and you are the only person attacking (can be done). or for EoTS you rush in before the enemy have time to cap their own towers and take your team on the offensive.
WSG and AV are much more Multibox friendly in my mind. AV simply for the fact you can become a killing powerhouse (shamans = canon battery) in defence and offence. and in WSG, well.. you become the ultimate bodyguard to any flag runner. Just get your flag runner to run closer to the enemies so that you can take them out without abandoning your own.
Typically what is a lot more effective in my mind, is to grab 5 ppl from your realm and do WSG, EoTS and AB (10 for those) lay out the tactics and have fun mincing the opposition. If it works, you gain alot of support on your realm at the same time, as ppl will love BGs when they get to go with you. make sure you do it with your friends first to find out what works well :)
hope your luck turns a little :)

hope your luck turns a little :)I've found that with full teams (15), a four box can be fully effective in both EOTS and AB in PuGs but it is highly dependent on the skill experience and relative nubness of other players. If it's only 10 vs 10, it's almost a guaranteed loss, as the opposition quickly work out that you need to keep your team together and if you just took a base, another is exposed. I had to resort to macroing a message about being a boxer and being able to take and hold bases last night, but at the same time plead that the whole team didn't follow me around (to admire, or laugh or whatever) as that would be a guaranteed loss.
Haven't tried AV yet, but I concur that it'll be np.

Return the favor...
Nub1: WTF ITS UR FAULT WE LOST MULTIBOXER
You: You must be an eBayer if you honestly think a pug alliance BG group ever wins in our battlegroup; whether I was here or not, you'd have lost regardless because WE DO NOT EVER EFFING WIN.
That's pretty much true for alliance in the Mag US battlegroup too, we never fucking win unless the horde are complete and utter retards. We used to stand a chance in AV at least till 2.3, now they're all guaranteed losses too. My poor druids're gonna be thrown into AV at 51, poor bastards're gonna get destroyed but the quest exp should be nice while getting some honor too.

i have got some serious trash talk from people and I wasn't doing PvP or anything that should or could have offended them.
it's not like I stole their mithril mining find ( like so many have done to me )
i've had to put a few poeple on the ignore list.

Like others have said, just direct them to the score board. I am usually doing more damage and have more kills than everyone on my team so I just let them harass me. It's nice when you get people who think its cool and just play because thats usually the games we win. A lot of the time though if I do BG's I go with my friends so I have at least a few other people trying.

If it hadn't been a multiboxer, they'd have blamed the horde twinks. That's the number one reason I hear of losses, I think I'm in vindicator bg. Always the horde twinks, despite that most allies twink as much as possible. (Tangent: I'd like to use AMAP, similar to ASAP. As much as possible is used quite frequently, but I never have seen it abbreviated like ASAP is. Weird) They never think about the lack of their(our) teamwork, or lack of goal orientation. Don't worry, you'll be blamed for the server's economy too :)
