One thing I'm puzzled by, why the same toon and one letter different name? Just 'why'? Obviously makes no sense to me. I'd like to hear thoughts on those that do this. It obviously draws more attention to you, and I too wonder when blizz might decide that it is against the game's spirit. Objectively, you're paying for multiple accounts to do what you want. But I can see some arguments that one good box player completely eliminating any solo or duo players in pvp. And for anything, all it takes is enough complaints.

Similiar looks, names, etc makes it difficult for others to coordinate attacks against you. Especially if they use voice commands.
Same class is just much easier to play as they all have the same abilities, same cooldowns, same cast times, etc, and you only need to learn to play 1 class effectively.

While I knew the class reasons, the name reason is a very good reason to name similar, thanks!

"Hey guys, attack Eteoclees!" "....which one?" "Eteoclees damnit! Attack Eteoclees!" PartyMember3 targets Eteocles, Partymember5 targets Eteeocles "...wtf guys I'm the only fucking one hitting Eteoclees, help me damnit!" "Collective vent: WE ARE TARGETING ETE(E)OCLE(E)S! STFU!" "Boomkins proceed to mow down opposition" :D

I find it cheesy myself, but then, I also frown on people picking undead purely for WotF.
I like to play on hard mode, I have a 70 Troll Rogue with over 50K HKs.

I did it for both so people would have a better idea of what I was doing and for ease of writing my macros. I did start another group and for them I used a naming scheme, but their names are names anyone could pick for a single character.
edit: As for WoTF I would do it simply so I could delay getting my pvp trinket. I still don't have it and its pretty brutal.

I'm sorry but in what universe is Rogue hard mode? and getting a number of kills is one thing, try getting GM with ~15K HKs like i did back when i was 60.
On a human warrior..
thats hard mode.

Bah, you young ones don't know how easy you've had it. At least you have Perception and can see stealthed rogues across oceans. Rogues have been nerfed every patch since rogues were just a few scribbles on a piece of paper. Now HWL as a troll rogue, that would be an achievement!

as a long time enhancement shaman, we are the true sufferers under the nerf bat :( a few triple WF crits and the world and his dog whinged, starting a cycle that seems to have lasted forever (well at least since 2.0)
FWIW Shaman is the only class never to have had a class review :(
yeah they rock in when running in packs but as a non 'boxed character we have not had a lot of love

I played a troll hunter for the first 9 months of WoW and honestly anyone complaining can go diaf. Not only did I have a useless racial but hunter's pretty much sucked back then. Our 31 point survival talent was a 200 damage dot. As for HK's, I had 3000 the first day the honor system came out just by sitting in TM and SS so it's not like it was hard. Also about people picking undead, what else are they going to pick? Most are playing warlock/priest setups and honestly who wants to play a troll priest with 4 ugly ass orc warlocks following them since that would be the only other option.
