People will always QQ.i find it funny that the twink is using the same complaints people use about twinks, in his argument about multiboxers.

and we're so far from the first. This guy acts like it's something new. Team Whizzy back in the DAOC days is the first sizable boxer I ever heard of and that was 5 years ago. Blizz new about boxers looooong ago and made their stance. I tell ya, you PvP people get WAY too emotional :)

My favourite part is the simple fact they always say "It's 5v1 so it's not fair" whilst in all reality it's 5v1 against us, battlegrounds are designed for team fights - I'm guessing premades who run around in 3 groups of 5 are cheating too :(

The first i remember was Sam "Da Man" Deathwalker from everquest.

This guy had six rangers and did all kinds of stuff in eq and then bragged about it on forums like these ('http://www.fohguild.org/forums/retard-rickshaw-hall-shame/5328-who-has-top-single-person-burst-dps-server-wide.html'). He was such a comical figure in everquest drama besides his six characters though.

He bragged about accomplishments outside of the gameworld to these game forums as well and posted some grade-A picks:
His boxes:

And the man himself:

He was our true pioneer.

Yeah there's a fair number of informed people nowadays and it's fun to watch the threads ;) Kinda like reading steam's VAC forums..."WTF I DIDNT CHEATED UBAN ME NOW!!!111one"...even though VAC is a 100% automated system that bans based on finding KNOWN CHEAT PROGRAM SIGNATURES in memory while playing. Funny stuff. Back on topic though, yeah, I wouldn't avoid the threads because keeping out of it or quiet doesn't help our situation either; responding to a forum post shows there's an actual person behind what they think are bots, and as long as ya keep the reply mostly civil it can go well..especially pasting boxing quotes from the big FAQ thinger like Vyndree did in one of her threads a lil while ago.

This ('http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=4463926517&sid=1') thread is her recent Av one which includes the Blue posts.

This ('http://v-boxing.net/blog/vboxing.php/2008/01/30/multiboxing-faq-for-non-multiboxers') is Vyndree's FAQ for non-multiboxers, we should all have this on macro.

I have good cross-faction relations.

Helps to idle around in shatt making stars, turning into furbolgs, and making totem smiley faces.

Indeed, as said in one of the older threads, best way to inform people is to show off in town ;p

I just can't take seriously the people who insist that it's unfair because they are getting ganked 5v1. They never understand that in every situation, five friends playing on the same server could do the exact same thing, but more effectively. It's completely an e-peen thing. Losing implies that they suck, and that's unacceptable, so they must come up with an excuse. When it's five separate people, they must be a bunch of dicks who go around ganking with unfair odds. When it's a five-boxer, they can use the much easier and more satisfying 'omg hax' defense.

When, really, the answer is don't go up against five guys by yourself, dumbass.

So I ran into this nerd today who obviously had spent like $15,000 on 5 absurd gaming rigs and 5 different accounts. He had leveled every toon, 4 Warlocks and 1 Spriest, to 70, decked them all out in gear, then controls them all at once. You do this essentially by plugging one keyboard into 5 computers, although that's an oversimplification.

Hmmm... let me break this down a little.

So I ran into this nerd
The multiboxer is definitely smarter then the OP.

who obviously had spent like $15,000 on 5 absurd gaming rigs and 5 different accounts
Also jealous that the multiboxer has more disposable income.

The OP probably only has 1 toon at 70 unlike the majority of WoW player that has 2+ 70s in their single account.

plugging one keyboard into 5 computers, although that's an oversimplification
The OP can't comprehend how it's done because he lacks the intellect, skill or knowledge on how to multibox... and jealous about it.

I view this thread as a compliment from the OP. He wish he was smarter, had money, had free time to play WoW and lack the capacity and knowledge compared to a multiboxer.

had free time to play WoW

The real kick in the nuts is that most of us are time-limited thanks to Jobs and family/loved ones ;p Yet we still outdo them despite lvling slower + playing less

This is the most ironic part of the multiboxing debate. The non-multiboxers are calling the multiboxers "those with no life," yet we more efficiently use our time by leveling our 5 to 70 in less time than it took them to level 2 characters to 70. Add to the fact that we must have some sort of life to be able to spend $75/mo on these accounts even while knowing that we won't be able to play them as much as some of these college/high school kids. They can call $75/mo on a game to be a waste, but they'd be sitting in thier own hypocritical toilet - many other gamers/non-gamers consider all subscription gamers to be wasting money by paying a monthly fee of any kind. Sounds more like envy to me.

It doesn't even take a lot of disposable income. It just takes some income, which the poster probably has a hard time understanding, since it's going to be another 10 years before they have to look for a job.

Exactly @ both of you. "LOL U HAVE NO LIFE" 2 reply options: "Type /played and tell me what it says"(Noone's responded to that yet) or "How do you think I afford these accounts in the first place?"(Also no reply beyond 'lol' ;p)

Then there's the ever popular "Expensive? hardly, it costs less than most other hobbies; hell, you can spend more in a single night of drinking, or on a single model, or on a single dinner date, than you do for an entire month of all 5 accounts"; aka, "it costs less for a full month than a single day's cost of most other hobbies"

I used to play mage, then paladin on there. Mage was Tehtsuo, I lead the epic server crashing Orgrimmar raid the Sunday before TBC came out. Since then I've been playing Amaren, but he's been retired because of this forum. DAMN YOU DUAL-BOXING.COM!

I made a few appearances for fun, but my fun was accomplished thanks to the several hundreds we rolled with. I've never seen Theramore with so many alliance, total figures for the event were over 400 riding towards Orgrimmar from several directions. Hasn't happened since, most likely due to the fact that few understand it took me 2 weeks of planning to pull it off. This was no "Hai! Let's raid Org, guyz!"

Lol... it's funny when someone says that you have no life while they are also playing WoW... and also saying that raiding a city, or multiboxing is a waste of time on WoW's forums... irony... :D
