DK Weapon?

I'm currently stuck with a lvl 78 blue weapon from the 'Tides' cata dungeon.

My DK's are level 85, I'm wondering the best way to get a decent weapon on them? Currently I'm aiming for the tol barad 2h'er but have 7 out of 85 commendations, and I don't know if that'll give the rep i need when I get there.

Any other ideas?

I was using a blue 2H axe from Twilight Highlands.
Or maybe late Uldum.
iLV 318.

Pretty decent for AV, and killing in there.

Have upgraded to four 2H Maces.
Not my ideal weapon, but iLV 346 for under 3k each.
This is more than a 100 DPS upgrade over what I was using.



There is supposed to be a Ring of Blood style event.
With iLV 333 weapons, I believe.
Could look into that, as it would be a free weapon, and probably a substantial boost.



If you can run 2's, with any kind of success.
Three weeks of capping points (five arena wins), will get you the Conquest weapon of choice.
That is what you want to aim for.
That's 150+ DPS over my 2H maces...

I'm not there yet.
Have not had success in 5's yet, but have implemented many of the suggestions from my recent thread, 'Best Approach for Arena'... and haven't tried them out yet.

Also, since running 2's has not worked with others who are gearing up.
I'm contemplating just advertising in trade, that I'm only "average" and/or "starting", but am looking for someone who is "uber" and/or "geared" or "skilled", etc... to carry me... basically pay for 5 wins, or so much per win.
Ultimately, 5 wins per toon each week or 25 wins in total, isn't that bad.
And three weeks of matches won't break the bank, so to speak.

Would rather win on my own.
But the weaponry will go a long way to that end.

Go to twilight highlands and do the Crucible of Carnage as Ualaa said. all in blood you should be able to knock it off fairly happily, if not you can recruit people outside of your group to help with dps/heals etc and still bring it down. This is what I used for the first couple of weeks prior to getting the epic gear.

Do the Crucible of Carnage (CoC) quest chain in Twilight Highlands (TH)

If you haven't been to to TH yet, you'll have to do the beginning quests in orgrimmar then some more once there.

Once you unlocked the portal to TH and go to Orgrimmar and back again, you can fly over to Crucible of Carnage and do the quests. It takes maybe 1/2 hour from doing the initial quests, to unlock it, and do the CoC.

The bosses of pretty easily done with a 5-man boxing group, except for maybe Earl of Evisceration.

There are usually people spamming for "LFM CoC" so you can get a group or assistance if you need it.


At the end, you get a choice from 6 very nice item level 333 weapons.

After COC you can do the Tol Barad dailies to reach revered and 85 commendations for the 2h sword there which is ilvl 346. You can do a possible 18 daily quests depending on if the your faction holds TB often and the optional dailies are unlocked for you.

CoC weapon increased my dps by about 1.5k :) woo
