Hiya Guys,
AS per the title there has been a lot of discussion lately about 5 boxing in arenas, and how most of the time you get kerb stomped if you are running them solo. So how about running 2 teams, one being a 2v2 and the other being 3v3. I would think that the smaller groupings would be a bit easier if you are running them solo?
What do you think?
Cheers,

Not at all,
5v5 is the most viable, because your burst dps can take down one person fast. That is simply not the case in 3v3 and 2v2. In the former cases, you'll be rocked by better coordination

In 2v2, I took an sl/sl Warlock and holy/prot pala to around 1730-1750 in Season2. It was rather easy up to that point, but I started getting to a point where i couldn't poll dance enough on the paladin. Dps teams were very easy, drain teams were 50/50, warrior +any healer that moved I just couldn't beat unless they were very bad. :)
Teraven and Rachyla were the two toons, they still have the same spec and gear pretty much if you want to armory them.
Hope this helps.
for shamans, 2v2 is bleh, unless its resto+rogue.
3v3, youd be lucky to burn one down with trinket+ns+em+cl+ES. from there its 3v2, and Im pretty sure a cloak of skill stunlock rogue or a hunter would touch you.. not in a good way.
3v3 PoM+Pyro would be viable. trinket + POM + AM + pyro x2 + fire blast followed by silence of healer and improved arcane missiles x 2 = 1 dead. use your second silence, and trinket + POM+Am+pyro x1 + fireblast x 2 + third silence + arcane missiles x2 = 2 dead. 3v1 = gg.
3v3 felguard lock... *may* work. chain intercepts stunlock on healer; all out faceroll of dots, deathcoil agro, follow with fear.... maybe. it would be tough past 1800 imho.
with the ammount of resilience in 2v2 and 3v3 around 1500/1600 you would find it hard to get off the ground.
Resilience has really changed the way pvp is now, its quite crazy.

To Summarize:
2v2: Healbot + dps is sometimes viable, depending on how well you can switch between characters
3v3: Expect an owning unless you get some perfect team matchups, or luck.
5v5: You can really shine, due to the extreme burst.
Basically, with 5v5, you can gib people, which is what multi-boxers are good at. When you take away your biggest advantage (super coordinated dps). You end up with only hte gimped part (lack of coordination)

2v2 doable up to a certain extent, probably capping at around 1800, possibly a little higher if you have a good group composition. The problem though is that it is highly dependent on your class, and what you are going up against.
The main theme of 2v2 is "Survivability" most high end teams just have the ability to outlast the opposing team.
3v3 is more plausible with burst potential. I hit 1700 with my Alliance mages early on in Season 1. You are banking on that quick burst though to turn it into a manageable 3v2.
The main theme of 3v3 is "Crowd Control" in which most teams are focusing on classes such as rogues, druids, and mages in their mix to completely shut down 2 of the opposing team and finish the 3rd.
5v5 is where we shine because the main theme is "Group Coordination, and Focus Fire" a lethal combo a multi-boxer excels in. The main thing to remember here is you don't have to play 4 or 5 characters to compete in this bracket, 2 or 3 works just fine. I did very well with 3 Mages in early Season 1 almost racking up a 1900 rating and placing us close to top 30 (this is when it first started :) ).

Thanks for the replies. I have managed to rope my gf in (who also plays wow) to be my healbot for arenas, so it's all good!
