Is there a way to disable "just" the sound effects armor makes in WoW?

I hate the clink sound of chainmail and the thunk sound that plate armor makes, does anyone know if there is a way to turn off just those to elements of sound without affecting the rest of the sound effects?

You can use an MPQ viewer like MyWarcraft Studio to find the file name and location of the sound files. You can then make a blank file of the same name and place it in an identical directory tree outside the MPQ. You would not be altering game files but rather substituting file replacements.
