Hi guys-
I'm leveling 3x Shamans currently. I'm going to give them all weapons with an enchant, and was wondering if +22 intel or +30 spell dmg would be more beneficial. I'm leaning toward the intel for a deeper mana pool, but perhaps faster kills is more desirable.
What would you prefer on a low level character? 22 intel or 30 spell dmg?

First, you really don't need either ... most mobs die too fast for it to matter. That being said, 30 spell damage will be far superior for the simple fact that most mobs wont live through the first volley ... so mana won't be an issue.

That being said, 30 spell damage will be far superior for the simple fact that most mobs wont live through the first volley ... so mana won't be an issue.I'm not getting the enchants to help with the mobs on an individual basis; they will help me my sessions as a whole. with higher intel, and a deeper mana pool, i can go longer without needing to drink. the intel would also subsequently raise my spell crit by about 2%.
The spell damage would increase the damage I do and as you pointed out I would (hopefully) be able to kill mobs in the first volley. if this is the case, would i always regen mana as fast as i kill? if so then perhaps this is clearly the best option.
THose are pretty expensive enchants if I recall correctly. What level toons are you putting them on...?
These will be going on gear for very low level alts. however, they will be going on grey/white gear. have you guys ever used this trick? white gear doesn't bind, even with enchants...so you can mail them from alt to alt. I have +30 stam and +25spell dmg/+15 stam enchants on various white cloth leggings that i often trade back and forth between low low level alts.
they are expensive, but the investment isn't lost once the toon levels up. even if you're just running toons through instances, the +stam gear can be a nice buffer for making sure that they never die.

the enchants are both 150-225g depending on server.
regardless, as per the same idea as frost AoE grinding, dmg > int. the extra mana is replaced by extra damage. more damage = quicker kills. running between kills = mp5. therefor, more damge = mp5 = PROFIT.
plus, it will also increase your healing for the OHShITohShiTohSHIT times.

Don't bother with anything else but Clefthide Leg Armor http://thottbot.com/i29534 . ALOT cheaper, more effect, put it on lvl 5 pants and you can use it till lvl 26 if you like!
Then get new pants and wear those till lvl 50 ;) ?
The + dmg from enchants seem nice but the +30 stamina has way more effect. You and your crew stay allive longer = more dmg in the end. It's 1500 extra hp for my entire crew(+300hp per char)
On my server they go for around 70g to 88g.
Ps: I'm not re-getting the enchant, just put the lvl 5 pants away and got normal lvl 26 pants now for my party, don't need it any more
