I'm trying to make my two characters (I know...small-time for this crowd) do two different things when I press a single button. Would be really easy if what I was trying to do was press a single button in-game...but I'm not.

I want to press Z and have one character strafe left and step back (meaning press A and S at the same time) while the other strafes right and steps forward (W and D at the same time). I also want to do the reverse, of course.

Now, I've seen tons of posts about "spread out" formations and the like, but all they say is what actions to have each toon do...not HOW to make them do them. I tried keymaps but I guess I just don't know how to use the tools at my disposal.

Please help? Once I understand the tool, I can go places with this...and will probably add a third account sometime soon.

You can't bind 1 key to two actions. Well, it *is* technically possible to do with certain tools out there, but it's against Blizzard's TOS to have 1 key press perform 2 actions and can/will get you banned.

What you will want to do is bind two keys to strafe left & step back on one toon, and strafe right & step forward. Like this.

Z - Char 1 strafe left
Z - Char 2 strafe right
X - Char 1 step back
X - Char 2 step forward

Then you can bind the reverse, maybe to C and V or something, whatever you like.

I personally don't really care about spreading out in approx 99% of the fights so far, so I just tap 1 directional key I want to drop my clones off /follow.

Thanks for clearing that up for me!
