I've lost my job and am searching for a new one, and I can't afford to pay for Rift, which I'd love to play, solo or multibox..

So are there any free to play mmo's that I can multibox? I still have about 6months of ISBoxer left I think. I've been told that LOTOR and EQ II are both free, but I haven't played either. Is there anything better out there, or is one of these clearly better than the other? I'm going to start downloading both right now, but I'll still need a bit of time to set up ISBoxer and as said, am searching for a job and I have a few leads to follow up at the moment.

I've always been a pve person but atm I'd like to try pvp too. So I'm not that fussed whether a game is more pvp or pve orientated.

Is EQ not good then? I remember trying a lotro trial a long time ago and the combat wasn't as "clean" as wow, it was pretty slow/easy

What about guild wars 2, anyone tried that?

eq2 is free to play. So is Dungeons and Dragons. The one I liked a little bit was called Bloodymare: Requiem but I think they changed their name.

I have heard of a lot of of good stuff about Dungeons and Dragons Online. I like that you can run instances at your own skill lvl or group size. I like the idea of FTP Model although I have never been part of one in all my day of playing MMO's. The only real killer for DDO was the lack of pvp and the whole world being instanced. Still may try it one day though.

Lotro is decent but DDO is pretty fun. I only played single player, but it would be interesting to multibox that game!

DDO can't be multiboxed very well as there's no follow or interact with target functions

If you want to try some thing different, that needs IS to box, go for Champions Online

If you're a diehard fantasy fan then LotRO is the one to go for

I played LOTRO for a month or so with ISBoxer. I found it quite difficult to box as the macro system is very minimal.
But if you are at all interested in the books it has the best atmosphere/storyline of any MMO.

I played EQ2 for years, it was a great game but I have just played it way too much.

What about Runes of Magic?
I only played it a couple of times but seems like a decent WoW clone.
