hey :D
My 5-man team is my guild, literally. So I was wondering what is the best way to level it. The guild is currently at level 3. I am really interested in getting it to level 5, so that I start making use of the extra cash generated to the guild bank.
Any tips ?
Thanks !

Do dailies.
Grind normal instances until you reach the cap for the day.

What normal instances ? like the low-level ones ? normal blackrock, etc... ? Or heroics ?
how many runs per day do you expect to hit the cap ?

I would say not the low level ones. Leveling new teams from 1-60, doing many quests + instances does not result in a lot of Guild Rep. After doing 3-4 teams to 60 i was only at 22%.
It does seem to increase with the level - in outlands I am getting a lot more rep. I am sure someone could post a number by clearing an 85 normal dungeon and seeing how much it gives with the bonus.
The easiest way is to just set up your chat tab (or an extra tab) to show Guild Rep gains. It will display the number... and you can just do that math after that. Whatever that number is... multiply it by 5. Take the cap and divide by that number - then that's how many times you have to run it!

You have 3 options:
1 - Have no life
2 - Join another guild
3 - Invite noobs to join your guild to help you level it.

Quests / Dailies / Boss kills (instance or raid) are the only options.
The higher the level quest/boss, the more guild XP you generate.
So basically, level to 85 through questing, then do dailies and instances.

My toons are at 85 now. But I haven't done much of questing. I leveled them through dungeons. So I can go back and do some of those quests (most of them are sooooo boring :( )
So if i down bosses from wrath or TBC raids I get guild XP too ? But not as much ?
There is no way I am inviting "noobs" into the guild as that is the exact reason I multibox. I limit the human factor to a minimum, 1 person to be exact !

Having leveled two teams from 80th to 85th, along with Grizzly Hills dailies for a week or so on two teams at that level bracket (73-73), my guild has recently reached level 4.
I've contemplated inviting people to join it as a "leveling" guild.
Set guild repairs at something like 50g a day; so people can run higher instances and such.
With alchemy transmutes, I'm averaging 12k a day so should be able to cover repairs for a while.
Not sure if the lowest rank should be able to invite others; I suppose if bank/tab restrictions are in place, it wouldn't matter.

My guild is currently level 11:

I'm leveling my 3rd team to 85.
Basically I do at least 25 daily quests a day (cherry picking the easy ones) and do a little leveling.
Of course by the time I reach guild level 20 (for the 10% xp helm), I'll be burned out on leveling...

Just note - at 85 doing a non-heroic boss kill gives ~31000 XP per toon - that's 155,000 per boss kill. Doing Halls of Origination, there are 7 bosses so a complete clear gets you 1,085,000 guild XP. This compares to doing about 15 lvl 85 quests.
Since the max XP you can earn in a day is ~6,246,000 that means that taking your team of 4 through 40 boss kills would be your daily max. Doing HoO as your standard - that would be 8 runs a day.
I would actually just kill 6 bosses though. The 2 bosses to unlock the top, then the 4 up top. The other boss is dirt easy, but I don't think it pays for the time it would take. Once you've unlocked the upstairs, each boss is dirt simple on a i329 or better team. I did a full clear last night while entertaining company and it didn't take very long. The only difficult boss for me was the first one - and now that I know what I am doing that one is simple too.

Good info on XP, Ghallo.

Dude! Multiboxing life! I bow to your skills. If I tried to run Halls of Origination while entertaining, my wife would crack my skull!
