How do people heal during fights?
I have paladin, h priest, s priest, warlock mage.
I currently run a macro which stopcasting, either healers target's friendly focus OR targets focus's enemy's target and heals.
Since I been one shotting everything with 4 casters as one, I haven't needed to heal much .. but I'm finding it a bit annoying if different targets get hit. Then if I want to heal targets then, I need to target with paladin, which means he's not tanking.. blah blah..
Do people prefer to setup a healing macro for each member of the party? or is there any genius ways of doing this?
Is there an addon which checks the health of party members, round robin in a priority order and casts a heal based on life left? like 90%+ = renew, 70%+ = flash, 40%+ = gh, 20%+ = shield
Then once shielded heal... or something ... is that even possible?

You have a Holy Priest, I would have a dedicated keys for that priest.
Since I 3-box using Holy Pally as healer, I used U, I, and O Keys for individual keys.
Key U: /cast [target=Party] Holy Light
Key I: /cast [target=Player] Holy Light
Key O: /cast [target=Party2] Holy Light
Party1 in my Holy Paladin is always the group leader, which is my Main Tank.
Player heals himself
Party2 is the my DPS.
You can replace those with specific names also.
1.Sanctume (tank)
2.Semihrage (holy paladin)
3.Healmon (shadow priest)
Key U: /cast [target=Sanctume] Holy Light
Key I: /cast [target=Semihrage] Holy Light
Key O: /cast [target=Healmon] Holy Light

dust off the old n52 :)
5 buttons in a row.. + red button for ALT, maybe the big black one for ctrl or shift..
i'll set up renew, heal, shield macros for each party member or something similar
top row attack follow assist spells
2nd row heals

You can do a cast sequence macro for Shield + Renew
/castsequence [target=Sanctume] reset=30 Power Word: Shield, Renew
The first press on the macro keybind will cast shield, the next one will cast renew. Then repeats.
reset=30 means that if you dont press it again within 30 second, it will start with the first spell in the sequence.

Thanks, that could work well - especially since I'm not 'building rage' on the tank :)

My heal macros for each minion are set to heal first the minion's target, then (if there is no target) the focus. Focus is always set to my main (tank). I then have four targeting macros (one for each minion, aside from the main), and a fifth that clears the target. When I need to heal one minion specifically, I hit that macro and, since the healer(s) now have a target, the heal will cast on that rather than the tank. My tank remains free to target whatever she wants. When I'm done healing the minion, I hit the clear target macro so they can heal the tank again.
When I first set this up, before I was used to it, it screwed me a couple of times. I would forget to hit the clear target macro, which was a problem when the tank really needed a heal. I solved that problem like any raid leader would: by loudly blaming it on the healers' lack of skill.
For battlegrounds, you'll probably want to extend that to allow you to heal other targets as well. That could be done via a modifier like CTRL (if the modifier is down, heal the focus-target, otherwise do as normal), or with a regular /assist macro that sets all the minion targets to your main's.

Not sure if it's only my problem, but it seems that targeting something on 1 client so as to target the same thing on another client is not instant. That is, if I choose to play my tank, and then target one of the DPS and heal. I have to literally wait for 1 second before I press the macro button, else the healer just wont receive the target yet.
As a result, it makes sense to make 5 macros, each asking the healer to heal a specific member.
I dont think checking the target's hp percentage and healing accordingly work now. It used to work. Anyways, isbuffactive that sort of thing wont work now I suppose.

that happens with me as well, I believe it's a latency issue

Yeah, when you change targets, it has to send a message to the server, which acknowledges the change. Then the server sends a message to your other clients telling them about the change. So basically, whatever your latency usually is you can roughly double that, add in a bit of extra, and that's how long it will take your targeting change to really show up.
In my case since I'm on the opposite coast from the server, I'm running at about 300-400ms latency. It usually takes somewhere between half a second and a second for the minions to pick up target changes. It's not bad once you get used to it, though. Per-character macros avoid the problem entirely when it comes to healing, and in the case of DPS I usually have a second or two anyway while spells are being cast.
