I'm still knew to multi-boxing, and I'm having some annoying problems. I'm wondering if I have to get some upgrades to my system maybe?

This is what I'm running, and my goal is to get to 1 PC running 5 accounts.
Win XP Prof.
2 20' HD Flat Panels
Quad 2.66GHz
4GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT (Should be 512 but it says in the properties that it's 256)

Do any of you see a problem with this set-up that I don't know about? I'm wondering if I need a better or a second video card, and maybe upgrade to Vista. Any help would be very appreciated because I've hit a wall lol.

Seems fine. a good suggested card is

8800GT 512MB(+) - Recommended Graphics Card

I personally think Vista is Eye Candy.. Nothing special about it, people say wait until SP1. Who knows. XP is just fine.

The 2400 XT might not be up to the job... although I know the 2400 pro can handle 2 instances.

What problems are you having? is it just slow frame rates?

What key broadcast sw are you using?

Are the instances windowed or using maximizer type functionality.

Are you screens spanned or just extended (seen as separate monitors)?

Basically, on XP you must span multiple monitors.. go into Catalyst preferences and set them to horizontally spanned. (Having them as separate monitors will have a big impact on frame rates). If the taskbar doesn't stretch across both monitors then they are extended not spanned.

I encountered a problem with Keyclone maximiser where I set the width of my main to the horizontal resolution of my monitor (1920) with caused massive (unplayable) lag. By reducing it by 1 pixel (1919) it reverted to the expected performance.

Scrap that Graphics card, its crap and definately not upto the job of handling 5 Instances of WoW.

If you can afford an 8800GT(s)(x) (or Ultra) go for it. Otherwise I suspect you will have problems 5-boxing on that PC.

Other than that, your specs are good and should be more than upto the task of 5-boxing.

I thought that this card was giving me the problems. I've done some tweaking in the game, tried doing dfferent display options like spanning instead of extended and it still has performance issues. So I'll look into getting that 8800 Ultra card and see if that helps my problems. Hopefully I can upgrade to Vista soon too just so I don't have to deal with the display issues XP has. Anyway thanks for the help guys.

Well, I bought the nVidia GTX 8800 and I found out that my computer is to small to support it. So, my computer guy is getting me a bigger cased one to support the card and a second one to run SLI if I need it also, along with some better RAM and faster HDs. So once I get the upgraded computer, I should be set to get this going. Now I just need to decide which class I want to go for. So far I've been thinking that 5-boxing Frostmages would be interesting, they wont have as big spike damage as Fire spec would, but I want to give it a shot. The other idea I want to try is 5-boxing Warlocks :D . So we'll see how it goes.

Actually, 5 frost mages could be insane. 5x Ice Lance on a frozen target? OUCH!!!

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. That's got to hurt lol! The only thing I'm not sure about is whether or not to put a priest with the 4 mages or just keep the fifth. Guess I'll just have to do some testing and see which works best. Seems to me like Frostmages have enough survivability on their own. Not to mention 5 Water Elementals every five minutes  .
