Hey guys, im new to this dual boxing stuff, and i want to give it a go, ive just got a few basic questions first.

I havent actually tried this yet, i am about to in a few mins just once i get something cleared.

Do you have to dual box shamans? Every guide ive read so far only teaches you how to set it up for shamans, is there one for something like a mage? or a lock?

I would do a shaman, but untill i get my new pc ill only be testing this out on trial accounts, and seeing as i only play alliance i cant get a shaman unless i pay for BC, which eventually i will but like i said not untill i get my new pc.

And im presumming you have to have 2/3/4 seperate accounts? And is this legal? I know when my mate told me about it he said it was legal, and didnt break there ToS, but i just want to double check.

I also see people saying, that when you quad box 4 chars, you can solo instances. Is this true?

Well this is all for now

Thanks!

Hello & welcome:

Do you have to dual box Shamman:
No, do whatever you want, keep in mind that some classes are easier than others & shammies are very good.
Xzin wrote his Step by step, with his experiance on Mages/locks/priests. Most of the guides right on this site don't specify which class.
I would avoid melee classes if you are just starting though. Some people do it, but it is harder to work out.

Yes you have to have a seperate account for every character.

Yes this is currently legal, assuming you do not break the TOS in some other way. Just multiboxing is perfectly fine.

Yes you can Solo most instances in the Old (non Outlands) areas with 4 without too much trouble. I only have experiance playing 5, so I will let others add thier thoughts here.

Hmmm, getting 5 chars from 1-70 must be pretty hard.

And must cost loads of money to run 5 accounts!

How much is it for a copy of wow + BC these days?

Just wondering, what is the average 1-70 time when doing 5 shamans? I real time not /played

Also, what happens with looting? Atm i am doing two mages just to test, and the only looting that seems possible is the main looting everything, but this doesnt help with those quests where you need to pick up items.

It's pretty easy. On the guy who started the group - just set it to "free for all" or whatever the option is. Then either character can loot.

First off Welcome to the forums and Dual Boxing.

Your asking for the price for wow, when it VERY easy to check the internet for a basic idea how much the game is.

About looting, you can set it to FFA loot with your main, if you do some collection quest and you need like 5 items for each character, is what I do is, I will loot for on my main then everytime I go to loot with my main If the quest item is there Ill switch over to my alt and have him pick it up, once they all have there quest item I will then loot the last one on my main.

Did you think about offers? The reason im asking is because someone may know a website doing 2 games for a certain price offer, or any other type of offer that i wont be able to find using google.

And besides, i asked for one that i can buy online. (You may have mis understood, what i meant was one that i receive the Key Code online.)

Thanks anyway

From what I can tell if you have a copy of the game you can give up to 5 people at a time to a trial vertion of the game which they can upgrade to the normal game but to upgrade to the full vertion of wow you need to buy the game (as far as I can tell) but when you do your account that invited the other gets 1 month free. This will save you some of the monthly costs on your main account and also let you try multi boxing before you buy your copys of wow.
