Do I get this right: you need 2 same class toons for Dual Boxing?

Is it possible to do Arena with only 2 characters in dual boxing? (I just need to gear up)

the number and make-up of your multi-boxing group is up to you... but... the complexity of the interaction between you and all your characters increases with the number of different classes. if they are all the same, then a single keyboard layout for all is fairly easy. if you made a 5 man group with 3 different classes (ie: 3 dps mages, 1 tank warrior and a priest)... then you would have to figure out the keyboard layout that would allow you to effectively operate all 3 classes at the same time... unless you can easily operate 3 keyboards, the combined keyboard can be challenging to figure out

You can do arena with 5 characters all different classes if you want. I will be when I hit 70 just to pick up my free points every week. Doesn't matter if you suck as long as you are getting points.

I think you can have maximum 4 players on a 2v2 team so if you are 5-boxing you will need at least 2x 2v2 teams. You won't be getting a lot of points so getting gear this way will be quite slow. You can speed it up by buying points for your characters if you are that way inclined.

From 2.4 you will be able to purchase the superior PvP gear for gold from reputation vendors (no honor). Not sure what reputation you will need yet but this should give you a little push into crappy starter pvp gear.

Then there are BGs which you can easily join as group but be prepared not to win much as you will run into a lot of premades and you will be bringing 5 people into a BG that work together as a unit with their own strengths and weaknesses. AV is probably the best bet as 5/40 is not such a major impact on the BG as 5/10 or 5/15. Our Horde AV queue time is 1hr+ at the moment though. With BG honor you can buy S1 arena gear and some very nice epic PvP gear. Will take a while to get it though as honor gain is not as quick as it used to be, although the removal of diminishing returns in 2.4 might help a little bit.
