4 Boomkins or
4 Shamans.

Main goal is Arena, World pvp, BG.
Would like to hear some pros and cons of each.
Can druids get out of fear by shape shifting? just curious.

Thanks

sham are much better than boomkin imo... you have to think there are so many aspects that can cripple a boomkin.

4 mages is also good... 100% chance to freeze and poly... multiple crowd control if u get good at it and a bajesus load of damage.

Mages would get blown up way to fast imo.

4x Shamans, certainly. With Druids, Moonkin Aura does not stack, you cannot heal while having high armor, you only have one fear escape mechanism (trinket), you're only AoE forces you to channel and do nothing else, and you do not have the wonderful EM/NS/CS combo.
Mages would get blown up way to fast imo.The amount of burst DPS 4 Fire Mages can do in the Arena is terrifying. While dying 100% faster than other players, they'll also kill members of the other team 100% faster.

An especially interesting concept I've been toying with once I get my new system is a 4-5 31/30/0 Mage team, which will turn on PoM , activate Invisibility, walk to their enemy's side of the Arena, turn off Invisibility, and instantly 1x Sheep & 4x AP/Pyroblast the first target. If there's a grounding totem, the polymorph will be eaten and Pyroblasts will be right behind to hit. Also, the sheeping will prevent an extremely fast player from using Pain Suppression on themselves, Ice Block, Divine Shield, recasting Grounding Totem, etc., in the split second it takes for the Pyroblasts to reach the target. This would almost always kill the first person before they could do anything. The rest of the fight would proceed as usual.

how about 1 druid and 3 shamans,
boomkin aura is very fuckin mickey mouse.
Plus bookin with its +400% armor lets it take a few more hits before it dies.

You will need to take more hits as you get feared all over the place.

Either Boomkins or Shamans are excellent to multi-box. Not very many people do Druids at all though.

-They have no rez (except combat).

-They are crap when feared.

BUT:

-You have stealth

-You have FORREST OF DEATH

- Two dots, lots of instant kapow

They can stealth

1) Druids cannot shift out of fear. You can remove "buffs" like "bearform" while feared, but then you're just running around feared in caster form. You cannot place new buffs (new shapeshifts) on yourself while feared. Fear for druids is BAD. They can shift out of any snares.

2) Nature's Grace ('http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=16880') <-- try synchronized casting with that. Doable with a button jammer, but not as controllable as lightning bolts, which are always the same speed.

Surely not too many people have good syncing skills.
Just watch Ellay's kara video thats the way todo it.

Hmm, 4 shaman and a boomkin sounds interesting.

Having played a Druid since March of 2005, I know well that fear is the greatest enemy of the Druid.

A Warlock in blues can kill a Feral or Resto in all epics. As for Balance, a Warlock in greens can kill a Boomkin with the best gear in the game. Deathcoil, DoT, Fear, DoT, Shadowbolt, Spell Lock the when he shifts to heal, and just health drain him if he's not dead already. If he uses a trinket to get out of fear, proceed as usual and Healthstone back whatever damage he might do to you (very little with all the resistance you have). If he uses Treants, you can either use Howl of Terror or quickly kill them with either Shadowfury, SoC, RoF (if you have Intensity).

That's why a full Druid team is suicidal in PvP. A 3 Druid/1 Shaman or 1 Druid/3 Shaman is the way to go if you want to use Druids in the Arena.
