I was watching the videos and checking out rift it looks nice and all. Just curious what people who play it think of it pro and cons. Is it more like wow then the videos suggest. I would like some input and also what's a group consist of five characters again to do dungeons and stuff. All input is awesome thanks. Just looking for a break from wow.

I'm only lvl 30 and solo boxing but so far I really like it. The scenery is fantastic and some of the zones are really great to explore. Much more epic feeling than wow's scenery. I was looking for something new and so far I like it. The pvp aspect still needs figuring out for me. Some people out there must have figured out some good min/max because I've come across people that are simply not killable. So I think they make a balance pass at things at some point because there are a million different talent/skill combinations.

The devs have stated a number of times that their priority is PvE content, and they will never try to balance the game around PvP.

The good news is that you only need to roll 4 times to have access to every soul in the game.

I'm currently level 25, finding the content great for a release game, most likey the most finished MMO ever launched. The instance content is engaging and well thought out, the first two that i have done had some interesting and challenging bosses.

thumbs up for me so far, i've unsubbed from wow.

Rolling solo with my guild at the moment, will be 4 boxing a couple of months down the track.

Subscriber fees are around the same monthly cost as wow. We're all spread out on servers as to who likes PVP or PVE or went somewhere with their friends/guild.

we tried to get all the pvp guys on Lotham, once ques settle a little it will be easier but it's tough for folks who can't login early before the crowd hits.

The monthly fees are as low as $10 a month I think but you have to do the multiple month thing and it's a early subscriber offer that ends in march i think.

I'm solo boxing on Alisbeth or something. I really like it so far. Playing a cleric, still trying to figure it out, but PvP-wise, I'm usually top 2-3 w/ points, even at the bottom half of the bracket. The graphics are beautiful, so far a smoother launch thn I'd expacted. Seems like there's plenty to do. I havent yet tried an instance, almost high enough for my first one.

Well from the multibox view there are some things that are good and bad, the big bad one is no IWT, and the huge strain it takes on your system to actually run 5x RIFT on a singel computer setup(i run it with an I7 930, 2x 5870, 12 gigs of ram, this cost me some money and it still lags here and there)

Good things, well there are alot of good things, i really like the follow system, it never breaks, like wow it breaks if you jump in water(if i remember corectly), if you melee attack something etc, this is not the case in RIFT making it very easy to box melee PvE if you like(pvp is harder due no IWT), second good thing is all quest mobs drop the quest item for the entier group, so if you have to kill 8 and loot 8 items you dont have to kill 40 mobs to actually get the quest done.

then we have rifts, which is a Boxers best friend, these are fairly easy depending on your lvl and if its a major or a minor rift, i have never managed not to kill a rift, tho im only 22 so far we will see what happes further down the road

the instance ive seen so far is the realm of the fae if rememer it corectly its fairly simple using 5 Rogues. nothing special about it tho, great exp :)
Oh and a big +++++ for the UI you can move it around easy and make it exaclty as you wish, tho i would like to have some addons, and im sure it will get added sooner or later

EDIT sorry for bad spelling :)

I'm curious what it's gonna be end game wise. Until I've seen it/read reviews/etc, I'm not going to commit/invest. In wow, the leveling up experience takes what, 15 days - a month. Rest of the time you spend inside instance/raid/bg/arena. Most don't really care about the scenery/how questing is after 1 week tmho.

True that, i only said what i have experianced so far, it will be cool to see what the endgame holds :)
