My current setup is an i7 920 ocd 3.6ghz, 2 60 hz monitors, single GTX285, and ssd. I am looking for suggestions for both the vid card and a monitor upgrade specifically 120mhz monitors.

wow, this makes me sad.
I really need to upgrade my pc. Im running (3) GeForce 240 GTs in serries. Looking at those numbers.. I think I want to go home and bash my computer with a coconut.

I believe that 3D in games is a joke, also, newegg reviews are horrible.

Also, you could just add another 285 and a 60hz monitor (assuming they all match) and have Nvidia surround. (Three monitors, a la eyefinity).

120MHz?! That's a lotta hertz!

I'm curious what 120Hz brings to the table over 60Hz in gaming?

The gimmick of 3D gaming.

Using shutter glasses, the monitor, in conjunction with the glasses will alternate images for each eye so you get a 3D image.

Not interested in the 3d. I want the higher refresh rate for 2d.

Anyone here running 2 x 120 Hz monitors that could make a recommendation?

Sure is unclear exactly how much is enough and how much more is worthless.

You would need a ping of under 10ms to take advantage of a pvp positioning advantage so I guess no reason to go to 120Hz for that lol ....

I'm curious as well as to why you would want 120hz monitors for anything other than 3D/option of 3D gaming.
