I've been pretty frustrated with this BG because as a five boxer you can only be at one node at a time, so even if you hold one node, the other 5 pugs are either spread out too thin and can't hold any of the other 2 nodes, or 2 of them are afk and the other 3 are helpless.

So I wondered if my weakness was that I cannot be at 2 nodes at the same time, what are my strengths as a boxer that can compensate. I can take a node really quickly, but if I stay there until it caps, the other 2 nodes will likely be lost.

So I came up with a different strategy that emphasizes on my strengths.

In the beginning I tell everyone to rush to WW, while I take lighthouse. When I do this I'm relying a little bit that one or two pugs will not listen to me and they will come to lighthouse so I can leave them there behind to watch the flag.

Then as soon as I hit the lighthouse flag, I don't wait for it to cap and rush the Mines before it has a chance to cap for horde. Most of the time there are only 2-3 horde there so I can kill them very fast and take the flag before it caps.

Then if WW is hit by horde I rush to WW without waiting for Mines to cap. So I keep rotating like that so that horde doesn't get any bases at any time, or at most they get one base if they hit 2 at the same time and I don't have enough time to run from one to another.

It seems to work even when my pugs suck balls as long as they are not afk.

I've even managed a 2000-0 that way when the pugs were a little better than average.

Please share your strategy if you found something else that works in this BG.

I'll have to try that.

Taking one of the three flags and holding it, doesn't work all that well.
Definitely sounds like it has potential.

I would tell them to take lighthouse and I would rush mine. However, the last time I played that BG we had 2-3 people afking in our grave yard. Despite my guys having over 30 kills and the rest had 1 they blamed me for the loss. Sometimes I wish I could reach through the screen and choke some people in that game.

I don't do the full on rotation, but definitely hitting mines is the best idea. I tell people at the start that I'm boxing and that I will take and hold mines so for them to take and defend either LH or WW. I like mines because you can corral a significant portion of the horde team at their start point from there and even defend it against 8-9 if need be. This generally leaves only a couple at WW if they have taken it and the rest of my team will usually (hopefully :P) be able to mop them up.

I like how there is at least one person that follows you around all game...

I like the crusader aura with 9 people to the node off to the side, while 1 rogue caps the first base (cos he can sap, blind, stun, disorientate people at the flag before needing to get hurt). Smash them all (fire eles and hero) at the first base, then surge forward and cap their closest base. Then win. Those who die go to the 2 rear bases.

It's kinda like a rush in arena. If needed, you go from the side node, half go back to close and half go to far node.

This strat is p much assuming most people go to either the close or side node, and not straight for the node on the other side of the map, and requires you to actually win a massive battle.
